09.01.2022 I was adopted at birth in Louisville, KY and just this week found my birthfather, Richard, after 32 years of searching. Unfortunately he died in 2000, in Australia. His father was from Ohio and while in WWII met Richard’s mother in Sydney, Australia. They married and then Richard was brought to the U.S. when he was two, and from what I can tell, lived in the U.S. for a significant amount of time because he served three years in the Army (Fort Knox, KY) where he met my birt...hmother. When his fathers’ obituary from 1986 was found, that is the first time I had seen his name listed anywhere, showing he had two younger brothers, as my birthmother had told me. The youngest is also deceased, still searching for the other, possibly is Australia too. Richard was found listed on someone’s family tree on Ancestry showing him deceased in Australia, otherwise I probably would still be searching. Can anyone help find Richard’s obituary or death certificate, I am trying to find out if he ever married or if I might have half-siblings. My Birthfather: Richard Lee Kelley Birth: August 18, 1943 Death: October 10, 2000 Birth and Death place: Sydney, Australia My Birth-Grandmother: Joan Maxwell Kelley Birth: July 18, 1922 Death: September 1987 Birth and Death place: Sydney, Australia Brother: Dennis Paul Kelley Birth: November 24, 1948 (think U.S. born) https://www.facebook.com/tami.lecomptemilburn
