23.01.2022 My first week few weeks at Revamp has been very enjoyable, yet challenging! I have always trained in a gym environment, however I have never enjoyed training within a group setting, until I joined Revamp. The sessions are well structured and everyone is always so helpful. Safe to say I am finishing the week feeling very sore but even more motivated to smash next week!! @remmevans

22.01.2022 Nutrition is by far the most important piece of the puzzle There's an old saying that can't be any truer, 'you can't out-train a poor diet'. Let's say you exercise 4 times per week that's about 4 hours out of 168, and what you do in the other 166 hours will determine results and a healthier metabolism which will give you the body, health and performance you want! Nowadays, we are bombarded with all types of nutrition... programs, and most are dog shit! Look, they work if you stick to it, but my question is, what happens when the 8 or 12-week challenge finishes? Results are generally short-lived. See it's human nature to want everything in the shortest amount of time, so we are sold promises from challenges and diet programs. Fitness is big business, and these type of crash diets want your after photo then onto the next bunch of poor souls. I want to see the after, after and after photo that's where it's at! A solution that's a seamless part of your life where you make it your own without restricting the foods you love! Because in my opinion, what's the point if you can't maintain long-term results and live a happy life while doing so! If you want more information on Nutrition coaching and The Body Blueprint Challenge.Send us a message or visit www.revampfitness.com.au

17.01.2022 Think big and dream big

16.01.2022 A Body Transformation is tough! There is no sugar coating that. To achieve success you have to work hard, be disciplined and consistent. Chris could have given up when it felt like everything was getting to much and resort back to old ways. But he always remembered who was watching! ... When the ‘Why’ is strong the work gets done Great job on leading by example for your kids @cjb084

14.01.2022 Burning calories in a workout is important, but how you do it, is even more! If you are aiming to use exercise as a method to lose weight, rather than looking at the number of calories that you burn in each training session, you would be better served by strategically planning your training to electively increase the number of calories you burn all day. In short, you would be better served by focusing on increasing the amount of lean muscle mass you have. That’s right. When... it comes to the factors that influence the number of calories expended on a daily basis your muscle mass is the largest contributor. Without a doubt exercise does matter, but not in the way you may be expecting. Exercise at best is responsible for about 17% of daily caloric expenditure. Your muscle mass has the biggest effect on daily caloric expenditure coming in around 66% Spending all of your time focusing on calories expended during exercise not only has you focusing on a small piece of the equation, but it may also lead to your negatively impacting the largest part of the equation which is muscle mass. By focusing on the biggest pieces of the pie, the 66% and the other 23 hours of the day it is quite easy to see that spending your time focused on how many calories you burn in one training session can lead to frustration and little weight loss. Muscle mass is the biggest contributor to your daily caloric expenditure. Use your one hour of exercise to boost the other 23 hours of the day by building and maintaining lean muscle mass. It is time to change the way we look at food and exercise!

14.01.2022 Progressive overload is the foundation to any successful weight training program. When programming I do it 12 months in advance. Ensuring there is progression with every rep, every set, week in and week out. This ensures gradual consistent results without hitting plateaus, in strength and body shape improvements

14.01.2022 I have only been going to Revamp for a few weeks. I have noticed my body changing already. Apart from being extremely knowledgeable, Rhys is so easy going, calm. He gets your emotional journey and struggles you're facing. He is very thorough and I don't feel like I'm left to my own devices, like I have at other gyms. The community has been very welcoming and it's really a pleasure to walk in there every week! - Melanie Zimmer

14.01.2022 Do you even prehab? Watching 100’s of people’s movement patterns over the years, two key things stand out consistently. People commonly have poor hip mobility (unable to squat properly) and poor scapular control (rounded shoulders). This is caused by carrying excess body weight, sitting in comfy chairs, sitting at a computer desk, bending through the back to pick things up and lack of stretching, all compounded over years or even decades! ... Think about it some days may go like this. You get up out of bed to sit in your car to go to work, to then sit at your desk, to then come home and sit on the couch. Sure it’s comfy but it’s not doing the posture any favours. Throw in rigorous circuit training with a poor warm up consisting of weighted deadlifts or squats and you’ve just booked yourself a trip to the clinic with a busted back! It’s my goal to bridge that gap of exercise to injury, exercise to injury. I’m massive on prehab! Doing targeted warm ups to help improve key areas which maximise results from the workouts we deliver. It means our team can train harder, for longer.....Injury free, which = long term results

14.01.2022 Revamp Transformation entrant @bartfurst! Awesome progress Bart, check out that shredded back Your hard work and dedication is paying off!

14.01.2022 Revamp has exceeded my expectations. Rhys has created a true ‘pt’ space where small group training meets one on one coaching. Paired with the latest tech and modern equipment the sessions are well structured with real sustainable results in mind. Can’t wait for week two! Thank you Benny me either @din.dins

13.01.2022 Revamp Transformation Challenge entrant Gary Wilkinson Great 12 weeks progress from Gaz! He smashes all his workouts out from home and throughout the challenge him and his wife Rochelle had their first baby, Eloise Great work to stay committed and on track

12.01.2022 BUILD MUSCLE TO IMPROVE BODY SHAPE At the heart of any physique transformation is a change in body composition; more lean body (muscle) mass and less body fat. From the research it is clear that resistance (weight training) exercise is the only activity capable of providing the stimulus to increase muscle mass and improve body composition. Weight training should be the cornerstone of any fitness program.... Building muscle increases metabolic rate (the rate our body burns energy at rest) For people who want to shed fat and regain their health, this addresses the core of the problem. It increases the rate at the body converts fuel (carbohydrates, fats and protein) into energy. This is a key aspect of physique Transformation. Building muscle (lean body mass) is the only way to increase metabolic rate. A persons metabolic rate is the single largest contributor to daily energy expenditure (more calories burnt at rest) Increasing metabolic rate addresses the core of improving body composition. A program designed to build muscle will help achieve results desired from exercise In a More muscle gained leads to higher metabolic rate. Higher metabolic rate = more body fat burned daily even when you’re just chilling on the couch watching t.v! Sounds pretty good to me

11.01.2022 Thank you @clemily

10.01.2022 The general misconception for exercise is...... Most people think that burning as many calories as they can in a workout means they burn more fat! Yeah burning a stack of cals and posting it to your insta story is sweet. But how you do it, is the most important for fat burning! See you burn stuff all fat in a workout. The exercise is just a stimulus to get the fat burning process happening. You burn the most body fat in the hours after you’ve worked out. The amount you burn... depends on the type of exercise you did. Example: You could jog/walk for 45 minutes while still holding a convo with your running buddy and burn well over 500 calories. Or you could do an intense weights session doing heavy compound lifts such as Barbell Deadlifts and Squats for sets and reps. The same time spent but feeling absolutely spent. For sometimes only half the calories burnt as the slow joggers. But by performing weight training you are using far more muscle mass and more specifically slow twitch muscle fibres (type 2) By tearing down these muscle fibres and depleting the glycogen stores you are creating an environment that boosts your metabolic rate after the workout to help the recovery process. Most importantly muscle uses fat as fuel for recovery. Muscle is the most metabolically active tissue in the body and 65% of daily calories are metabolised through your muscle. It’s simple! The more muscle you have the more fat you will burn For most people structured resistance training with progressive overload is the only way you can build muscle to burn more fat. So it’s pretty simple do more weights and less cardio..And girls if you’re wondering you won’t get bulky! You will burn that stubborn subcutaneous fat that sits on the places it doesn’t budge, tone up and feel stronger! @trishwright72 follows these principles to a tee, improving body shape and strength every year! She just did 120 x 6 on her deadlift this morning
