24.01.2022 So What Exactly is a Cacao Ceremony? A cacao ceremony can take many forms and is usually an inward journey of feeling and reflection or an outward journey of expression. Our beautiful co-creater of this weekends Chocolate celebration, Nat, from @mind.body.heart captures this perfectly. Read on....... Youd never guess.. but it usually involves Cacao - which unlike cocoa is the pure, raw, unadulterated form of chocolate from the cacao pod of the cacao tree. Cacao has been known for centuries for its medicinal and spiritual healing properties and was used as currency more valuable than gold. Legends speak of its ability to open ones heart and assist humanity in connecting to source and claiming ones true purpose. And now science has proven that in fact the compounds found in Raw Cacao assist in cardiovascular (heart) health as well as mental health by supplying powerful neurotransmitters which secrete our happy and bliss hormones essential for our inner and outer joy. So yeah, the Aztecs, the Mayans and other ancient civilisations knew their stuff (fancy that?!) They knew how to stay connected to Mother Earth and how to harness her gifts to nourish our individual and collective souls! This Sunday our Cacao Ceremony takes the form of an inward meditation ceremony set to an immersive soundscape to take you deep into your heart in the most peaceful and supportive of ways. We will have a traditional Cacao drink made from the purest ceremonial grade Cacao and then sit back in our supportive meditation chairs and unique eye masks as we listen to the beautiful music surrounding our circle. 16.01.2022 What a journey our commitment towards home compostable packaging has been so far...although change towards zero waste is fast, for a small batch Perth based chocolate company, it has been a challenge to find our way. We are nearly there though!! Our inner wrapping is this 100% home compostible plant based cellophane (just arrived ) !). We are just about to launch into the next phase of preparing our outer packaging. We will be working with the @environmentalprintingcompany ...to design a composible box that uses vegetable inks and special flaps to seal (no glue).
