06.01.2022 What is a consultation with us like? There are two types of consults! An initial and subsequent consult. 1 An initial consult is the first official consultation with us. During the one hour, we go through an extensive case history, examination, diagnosis (if indicated), treatment and management process.... 2 The subsequent consult runs for half an hour. It includes a brief case history of any changes to the presenting complaint since the previous consult, re-examination, treatment and management advice (more relevant to your progress) Treatment is ultimately dependant on examination findings. During the examination, our main goal is to find which tissues are causing your pain or altered function. We utilise special orthopaedic tests and hands on palpation to better guide our examination. We may also refer off for diagnostic imaging or other healthcare professionals for multidisciplinary care as required. Any other questions about consultations? Ask or DM us See more
