21.01.2022 We’d like to give a shout out to all our wonderful healthcare workers. In some of the most challenging circumstances our community has ever faced, our healthcare workers are putting themselves in danger to keep us safe and well. REVIT Mechanical are offering significant discounts for all essential vehicle maintenance for our healthcare workers. We want to show our appreciation for the amazing job they are doing, and support them in any way we can. We recently completed repai...rs on a Subaru Forester turbo diesel. This car is owned by Amy, one of our nurses involved with the primary healthcare of refugees and the homeless. She brought her car to us with several problems the car was in limp mode, the diesel particulate filter (dpf) light was on and flashing, there was a loud vibration under the bonnet, and the horn didn’t work. We hooked up some diagnostic equipment, identified and rectified all the faults, test drove the car and returned it to Amy in top condition. Another very happy customer!

16.01.2022 We picked up this brilliant Cox ride-on mower from a customer who suspected the engine might have a serious problem. It made some unusual clunking noises and stopped running. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst, he called us to have a look. We confirmed there was a problem with the cam shaft not turning. We removed the engine, disassembled it, and split the case. Once inside we could see what had gone wrong. ... It appeared the camshaft sprocket had failed, which stopped the valves from moving, but also stopped the oil pump. The top main bearing ran out of lubrication, over heated, seized and failed altogether. It was determined the engine was beyond economic repair. The customer supplied a brand new engine which we fitted. While we were waiting we serviced the rest of the lawnmower, so by the time the new engine was fitted, the mower was looking like new. Another very happy customer. Apologies, I forgot to take a photo of the completed mower!
