25.01.2022 When should I have a protein shake? We get asked this ALOT! The best time to have your protein shake is straight after training. ... We recommend that you bring your shaker with the powder in it, fill it up with water at the tap - and drink on your drive out of here. If you prefer to add a banana or berries to your shake, you can absolutely still get the benefits if you wait until you get home. If you like to have a shake for breakfast - before you train - that is still great! As long as you can train on a full sloshing belly. Treat these shakes as a recovery tool for your muscles. But this should be happening everyday with those that you love and know well! ... After participating in the Mental Health First Aid with Mindfull Aus, we have become more aware to the signs and muffled screams for help! When you read a Facebook post about someone saying they feel like a failure or can not keep going like this...that is your cue to contact them privately and have a good chat! If you feel like you dont have the confidence or are unsure how the conversation needs to go, read some little tips below. Comments like these DONT help; Everyone is the same boat Youve got lots to be thankful for Youre so much better off then others They are constantly comparing themselves to others, so saying these things only increases their stress, anxiety or depression. Instead, tell them you are listening and you acknowledge what they are feeling is real! Ask them how long they have been feeling like this for. Tell them youre so happy that you could have a chat about it and tell them they can contact you whenever they need to - as long as you know you can respond! Dont over promise and under deliver! Ask them to see their GP for help and guidance if you feel they need it. Be careful what advice you give them. Professionals are the best person for them for help. 22.01.2022 Challenge Winner!! Check out the before and after photos of our most recent 6 Week Challenge Winner!! Incredible results in such a small amount of time! The commitment and determination from this amazing lady was, and still is, so inspiring!!... Total weight loss percentage- 10.5%!! An extra 72 reps on her fitness test!!! Dropped 6 Visceral Fat Levels!! Total cm lost - 37.7cm!! An extra 10 points on her body score!! ‘Before Revive, I was struggling with so many things- weight, body image, confidence, energy... the list is long. The biggest problem I had was knowing how to fuel my body properly. As a vegetarian, I think I relied too much on carbs for energy- but I still felt tired 95% of the time and just kept gaining weight. Gaining weight had obvious effects on my self esteem & confidence, which led to avoiding cameras, not jumping in the pool with my kids, avoiding clothes I love because of how I looked in them. The biggest impact though was not having the energy or fitness to play & hike & enjoy family activities. I also had my young teenage daughter watching my every move & I knew I wasn't setting a very good example for her in embracing and nourishing her body. I loved the community vibe of Revive- everyone was really welcoming. Being new to the gym, overweight, unfit, uncoordinated, and nervous were all irrelevant once I walked through the doors. It's a completely supportive & judgement-free space. The process of a 6 week fitness challenge was completely foreign to me. It was really overwhelming initially, but I learnt a lot about myself & how to fuel my body. Bek was incredibly supportive & always around to answer questions when I needed. My only goal in the beginning was to beat my colleagues in the challenge- which I did! I lost more kgs than I thought I would and now, in December, I am fitting into a dress that I aimed to get into before March. I definitely have more energy now and am more proud of my body than ashamed of it. My family also tell me I'm not as grumpy anymore To anyone thinking about joining Revive, I'd say that I know it can be a really tough step to take- especially if you're in a space of self doubt like I was. But maybe the reason you don't want to do it, is the very reason you need to do it! And you won't regret it.’ #revivechallenge

Just grab some nuts and seeds and spread them on an oven tray, drizzle with olive oil and maple syrup. Cook in a hot oven until syrup starts to crystallize. Approx 8-10mins. ... Slice some dried fruit and mix into nuts and seeds. Allow to cool and store in airtight containers.
