16.01.2022 Being within the fitness industry for over 7 years, I have experienced many challenges but also achieved a lot of personal goals. I started out playing rep netball, and never stepped foot into a gym until I was about 21 - I injured my back quite significantly in 2010 and have 2 bulging discs, so I believed I couldn’t train with these injuries. Throughout my degree I started learning that wasn’t true, and that training was in fact going to help me. In 2016 I competed in my f...irst bodybuilding comp - which was a huge goal of mine but I wasn’t satisfied with how I looked on stage. In 2017 I competed again, my prep was harder and I was happy with my results and how I went in my comp. After competing, I rebounded quite bad with my diet and felt quite lost with my goals and my motivation was minimal. In 2018 I started CrossFit and fell in love with the lifting and higher intensity exercise. I competed in a few beginner comps and started loving my body again - still can’t do a muscle up though my love for lifting grew and I found I started loving feeling strong and not focusing on my body composition. In 2019 I competed in my first novice powerlifting comp which I came first in, and fell even more in love with this sport. Since then I competed in another novice Comp and placed first. This year I competed in my first serious comps, where I placed first at the North Queensland qualifiers and I also placed first at the state titles, meaning I qualified for Nationals in October Throughout my time, I have had a lot of experience in different sports and how to keep my diet in tune to compliment each of these. I have fallen off the bandwagon and lost motivation many times. I have experienced the highs and the lows of the fitness industry, felt self conscious to walk into a gym and nervous to compete at different comps. I want to share this knowledge and experience with my clients, and help as many people as I can to love their body’s and manage their pain. I am taking on new clients within goodlife Richlands gym as well as online clients. Let me help you not make the same mistakes as I did with my exercise and diet regime!
