24.01.2022 Is your rental being used as a Drug Lab? Due to the relatively simple manufacturing processes and the easy to obtain ingredients, production of ATS throughout Australia is increasing. ATS/ methamphetamine/ ice can be manufactured in clandestine laboratories in rental properties, hotel rooms, sheds & even cars. The production of ATS involves the mixing, heating & storing of chemicals, some of which on their own are extremely dangerous, but once mixed & heated become a very haz...ardous chemical. A range of chemicals are also produced as by-products of the manufacturing process. Any of these harmful chemicals may be present in the air as gases, deposited to surfaces within the premises or be present in containers stored there. Whilst hazardous gases quickly dissipate after cooking activities cease, residual meth on surfaces will put at risk anyone who may occupy the building at a later date. Revive offers a standard inspection & testing service, which includes a qualified technician attending your site within the Central Queensland/ Central Highlands area and taking a wipe swab sample of the premises. The sample will be analysed onsite using Securtec DrugWipe IA system to confirm if the premises has been contaminated with ATS. Smoking vs Synthesising: When meth is smoked inside a premises, it is heated and becomes gaseous and will condense on surfaces, but to a lesser extent than if synthesising. Initial testing will determine a Yes/No answer of whether a building is contaminated with these harmful chemicals, but not to what extent. Upon confirmation of the results, you may choose to have more extensive testing conducted to determine if you require Clandestine Drug Laboratory Remediation, in order to make the premises safe for occupation. Australian Government recommendations indicate that nobody should be inside the property until the remediation has been completed, unless wearing gloves, etc. Our technicians have the equipment & chemicals to attend site and treat the building structure for contamination. 23.01.2022 Due to the disastrous fire in our area, we will be unable to attend to any jobs over the next few days. We apologise for any inconvenience. It has been a harrowing 24hrs trying to protect our property and that of our neighbours, we would like to thank the amazing efforts of Clinton Lewis for his hard work in creating fire breaks between the fiery blaze and our neighbouring properties without doing this we would have lost everything and so would of everyone around us. We would... also like to thank the hard efforts from Drew Dean, Kelly Lewis, Greg Lewis, Kerry Lewis and Eliza-Jaynne Lewis for fighting throughout the night putting out spot fires and patrolling the areas with only buckets and rags and very very minimal energy left. And last we would like to thank Rob from CQ Septic for bringing out his large water truck to help us out as we had lost power to our pumps and only had buckets to fight with.
