24.01.2022 I don’t set myself New Years resolutions, as I’m constantly working on myself everyday in so many ways. I’m passionate about consciously choosing each day to feel good mentally and physically, so that I can live my best life Having said that, it can be uplifting and purposeful to ‘cleanse’ ourselves of the 2020 and set some positive intentions for 2021...especially given the year we’ve had! Perhaps this might be:... Spending more time in nature Taking up yoga or meditation Drinking more water Spending less time on devices Having more fun & social time Learning self compassion with eating Whatever it is, try not to focus solely on your appearance, as this won’t truly fulfil you. True self worth and happiness is cultivated from within. It’s all about how you FEEL. Some intentions I’ve set for myself is to have more variety and fun in my life, connect more socially, put myself out there with my body freedom business, and become more aware and conscious. What are some intentions or goals you have for 2021 that will nourish and enrich your life? I would love to hear from you! And if that wasnt enough, I was also greeted at the door with a magnificent bunch of flowers and birthday presents for my dog!! So lucky to do the work that I do. 24.01.2022 Ive had girlfriends try and get me out in the surf this winter, but being the massive sook that I am I keep saying no its too cold . Of course I want to be a cool surfy chick , so now that things are warming up Im pumped to go get kitted up with a proper wetsuit and get my surf on...I absolutely love being in the water and know itll spark me up after lockdown ...who cares if Im a total spaz drowning in the whitewash? 18.01.2022 This is a mantra I use everyday whilst looking on the mirror. I started this in the morning after my meditation at the start of the first wave of restrictions when I was really anxious, and its rewired my whole brain! Saying the mantra in a relaxed state is when it starts to change your subconscious mind. Let me know how you go! Xx

16.01.2022 I can’t even remember how many Christmases and other family gatherings where I felt anxious and totally consumed by the food and how my body looked, instead of the connection with my family and creating nice memories. My family has never judged my body, yet I was always so self-conscious, and battling with disordered eating behind closed doors a lot of the time. I would do juice fasts and exercise myself into the ground leading up to any family event, as I knew there would b...e so much food and I wanted to save my calories’ so I could overindulge but not gain weight . The cooking leading up to Xmas also triggered great anxiety for me as these delicious foods were not on my diet plan and totally ‘forbidden’ in my mind, therefore even a few bites back then would trigger an out of control binge. I was stuck in the ‘all or nothing’ diet mentality. There was no connection to my body or how it felt. I was just consumed with how I ‘should’ look and what I ‘should’ eat...according to the fad diet I was on at the time. It was never about what my body needed. But now I am connected to my body and how it feels Now I live in the moment and eat when I am hungry I honour my body by eating what I actually feel like, instead of ‘air food’ or restricting altogether (which would always trigger a binge) Now I give my body rest, or exercise/yoga depending on how it feels that day, regardless of what I’ve eaten the day before, or what exercise (or not) I did the day before Now I trust my body to tell me what, when and how much to eat Now I am more body confident than I’ve ever been, regardless of gaining weight at Xmas or at other times Now I focus on family fun, connection and ENJOYING food, all of the time, not just at Xmas I can’t go back and change my battles with eating or body image, but I can make sure I enjoy the richness of life NOW and not waste any precious time or energy stressing about how my body looks. 11.01.2022 Are you ok? I know I havent been that Ok at times lately. Ive been feeling isolated, trapped and claustrophobic at home, like I cant breathe and just have to get out... and I did exactly that last night, went to a friends house who is also single and lives alone as I just needed some connection and a laugh. Such good medicine! Thank you beautiful friend, you know who you are xx Ive been feeling angry and frustrated that my life is on hold. Ive also been feeling flat and ...heavy and like Im being controlled and smothered. No choice. Ive also felt guilty for feeling all of this, as I live on the coast, Im working and earning money, I have great friends and a beautiful family...I have everything to be grateful for. And Im aware others have copped the brunt of Covid so much more. Ive also judged myself as I have all the tools to feel better, but Ive still had days where I dont feel that great. I always feel the pressure that being a practitioner and having all the tools (and actually using them) that I shouldnt be feeling like this. Ive felt the pressure that I have to appear happy all the time. Does anyone else feel like that? But Ive stopped judging myself for feeling the way I have at times, as these are crazy, unusual and uncertain times. So now Im now being honest when people ask me instead of pretending everything is perfect. Because sometimes you just feel what you feel, and its OK. The more you bottle up emotions the more they will build up and release in other ways like anxiety or illness. So dont be scared to reach out and talk. And please shoot me a DM or a text if you want to chat. As soon as you talk about it with someone close or write it down on paper, it immediately becomes lighter. Journaling has been my best friend! I dont usually do posts like this, and deliberating whether to actually post it haha, but I thought being brave to be a bit raw might help you open up too, and release some of that built up emotion. 10.01.2022 Listen for specific breaky meal ideas high in protein, fibre, good fats to slow down the release of sugar into your blood and creat a more sustained release of energy. This will prevent mood imbalances, general food cravings/increased hunger throughout the day and those afternoon sugar cravings. 08.01.2022 How have you started your day? Setting yourself up with a nutritious breaky will set you up for success....especially if you battle with emotional eating later in the day, or binge eating after dinner at night. Anchoring your blood sugar levels over the day is key, by including some fibre, good fats and /or protein in your breakfast. This will ensure a sustained release of energy, rather than peaks and troughs of sugar that cause hunger and food cravings. Sugar highs and cr...ashes may happen with a breakfast high in refined carbohydrates such as white bread, jam, honey, low fibre/high sugar cereals. You can add peanut butter, almond butter, nuts or seeds to these, or choose a wholemeal or high fibre cereal or bread. Make breaking free from emotional eating easier and set yourself up for success! Xx

03.01.2022 My signature dish on rotation at least once a week, usually twice - Pan fried salmon (skin on of course, best bit), - Mashed sweet potato with crushed garlic & fresh basil - Steamed greens (green round beans, asaparagus or broccolini)... - Norganic dairy free Mayo, - heaps of fresh lemon juice & organic sea salt I love the oiliness of the salmon, feels like a real treat & I know I’m getting much needed Omega 3 essential fats. 02.01.2022 Even if you feel you had a negative eating experience, its still an opportunity to learn about your body. What foods feel good in your body? How much of that particular food feels good in your body?... Instead of judging the experience (or yourself) you can simply take from it what you can. Maybe next time youll eat less of that particular food, and more of another. Perhaps youll wait until you are truly hungry next time, or until you truly feel like that food so that you really enjoy it. Perhaps youll stop eating next time when your body signals it is satisfied.. Its all learning! Be kind to yourself and choose something that will work better for you next time
