20.01.2022 @fairliehamilton enjoying the benefits of the #saunabenefits with a 10 pack. Contact us to find out how you can enhance your wellness journey. #Repost @fairliehamilton with @get_repost ... I’ve not filtered this photo to share with you the glory that is the post infrared sauna glow. Seven more visits to go on my 10 visit pass and I’m slowly sweating away my covid coat actually I have been reading up on the benefits of the infrared sauna and there’s lots of benefits. Like it helps you de-bloat with all the sweating, reduces inflammation, supports immune system by triggering white blood cell manufacture. Assists detox. Last week I kid you not I was peeing the colour of rosé one night and apparently that was a good thing I checked with a naturopath. Either that or I’m dying. And don’t get weird about me telling you about my wee - you wee. Anyways. I love a sauna. And if you do you can just get sauna visits @revivesaunatherapy - I can’t find another place that’s only a sauna. On the opposite end of the scale though I’ve found one of those places where you stand in a deep freeze for a minute though. Might try that next #detox See more

19.01.2022 if you think of your chromosomes which carry your genetic material as shoelaces, telomeres are the little protective tips at the end. They are made of repeating short sequences of DNA sheathed in special proteins. During our lives they tend to wear down and when telomeres can’t protect chromosomes properly, cells can’t replenish and they malfunction. This sets up physiological changes in the body which increase risks of the major conditions and diseases of ageing: cardio...vascular disease, diabetes, cancer, a weakened immune system and more. Good news is that studies have indicated that sauna use can maintain and even lengthen telomeres which protects us against chronic disease and assist in slowing down the aging process. #sauna #saunabenefits #sweatyourselfyounger #healthylifestyle #wellness #wollongong #infraredsauna #infraredawesomeness See more

12.01.2022 LADIES!! This one is for you. Beauty comes from within but sweating it out in an infrared sauna is a great way to amp up your beauty routine. Here’s some reasons why: Sauna rejuvenates the skin Collagen is the protein that gives our tissues and organs strength and elasticity. The heat in an infrared sauna enhances collagen production, thereby strengthening and rejuvenating the complexion. The heat also helps the skin getting rid of dead skin cells, promoting the growth of new...er and healthier ones. Sweating has a cleansing effect The heavy sweating induced in a sauna has a cleansing effect on pores and glands, flushing out toxins and impurities. The result is a healthier skin, less prone to acne, blackheads and pimples.. Get that glow with sauna When you get into a sauna, the temperature leads to a dramatic increase in blood circulation. This in turn gives your skin a healthy and fresh appearance, as if you were coming straight from the skiing slope or from a run in the woods. A fresh, healthy glow - with no need for makeup. Keep your skin moisturised The heat and the sweating induced in the sauna stimulates the sebaceous glands in the skin. These glands’ function is to keep the skin moisturised and lubricated. By stimulating their production of sebum, sauna helps keeping your skin in great shape. Sauna before scrubbing Spending time in the heat and moisture of a sauna is the perfect preparation before giving your skin a peeling treatment. The sweating and the heat softens dry skin, and helps in removing dead skin layers. Give your skin a good scrub after the sauna, and you will be rewarded with baby soft skin. Burn calories with sauna Did you know that 30min in the sauna actually burns calories? It is the raise in body temperature that has this effect. Research indicates that you can actually burn as much calories from a sauna session, as you can from going for a run. Anything up to 600 calories in 30min can be burned. #sauna #saunatime #infraredsauna #infraredsaunatherapy #health #wellness #beauty #beautytips #wollongong #letsgetsweaty

12.01.2022 Looking for a sign to start your wellness journey then here it is!!!! Come visit us at @revivesaunatherapy and we’ll get you on course with one of the most effective health tools there is, the infrared sauna. Sauna is a powerful tool which provides some amazing benefits while optimizing health, wellness, and longevity. One of the main mechanisms giving sauna use these incredible benefits is by placing a minor physiological stress on the body, which mimics the effects of... exercise, without placing stress on joints and other tissues. . Sauna also provides additional benefit by impacting the body’s hormonal response by influencing the release of the fight or flight hormone norepinephrine. This hormone is responsible for things like blood pressure control, blood sugar regulation, and the use of fat burning for energy. It may also increase feel good hormones in the brain leading to improved mood and cognitive function. Many studies have demonstrated the incredible effects that sauna has on the body, including a 2015 study showing that increased sauna use correlates to a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease and all-cause mortality. The study showed a dose-dependent response with those using the sauna the most (4-7 times per week) having the lowest risk of death throughout the study’s duration. Although the optimal temperatures, duration, and types of sauna have not been confirmed, any sauna use that provides a physiological response likely confers some benefits. Personally, I use the sauna 5-7 times per week, for 30-45 minutes at a time, at 70 degrees Celsius. . . . . #sauna #saunause #heatstress #infraredsauna #heat #exercise #recovery #exerciseperformance #longevity #wollongong #saunatime #saunabenefits #wellness #letsgetsweaty #health See more

10.01.2022 Take some time to read below. Dr Patrick has been researching the benefits of sauna use for some time now and is a fierce advocate of integrating sauna use into your wellness routine. Give us a call/text to kick off your sauna journey, you’ll never regret it. ............................ #Repost @foundmyfitness with @get_repost I recently gave a talk at the healthy heart conference in Little Rock about how sauna use may be an exercise mimetic for heart and healthspan. I s...tarted my talk with a very bold statement. I said I think in the next 10 years that sauna bathing will become part of the standard of care for the prevention and treatment for heart disease and a variety of heart conditions. Several studies have shown that frequent sauna bathing (4-7 times per week, 174F for 20 min.) is associated with a 50% lower risk for fatal heart disease, 60% lower risk for sudden cardiac death, 51% lower risk for stroke, and 46% lower risk for hypertension. Just a single sauna session has been shown to lower blood pressure, improve heart rate variability, and improve arterial compliance. Some of the positive benefits of the sauna on heart health may have to do with similar physiological changes that also occur during physical exercise. For example, there is a 50-70% redistribution of blood flow away from the core to the skin to facilitate sweating. Heart rate increases up to 150 beats per minute which correspond to moderate-intensity physical exercise. Cardiac output increases by 60-70%. Immediately after the sauna blood pressure and resting heart rate are lower than baseline similar to physical activity. I also presented some data on how sauna use may have overall longevity benefits. Frequent sauna use is associated with a 40% lower all-cause mortality and a 60% lower risk for Alzheimer's disease. Some of the longevity benefits may be due to the increased production of heat shock proteins. Heat shock proteins have been shown to prevent and slow the progression of neurodegenerative diseases, slow human muscle atrophy, and are associated with human longevity. The effects of heat stress on longevity have also been shown in lower organisms including flies and worms, in

08.01.2022 Do you use an infrared sauna??? Sauna therapy dates back thousands of years. From the Russian banyas, to the sweat lodges used by Native Americans and aboriginal Australians, to Turkish hammams, to the famous Finnish saunas, sauna therapy has a long history of use. ... Sauna therapy elevates core body temperature, that induces adaptive thermoregulatory responses which elicit downstream benefits that promote bodily homeostasis. With an infrared sauna, 80% of the infrared heat emitted penetrates your body to heat to your core, and the remaining 20% heats the air in the cabin. Diverse benefits of sauna use have been demonstrated for cardiovascular health, as heat therapy mimics many of the benefits conferred by moderate to vigorous exercise. Long-term use of sauna therapy benefits improve many parameters of cardiovascular health, including: blood pressure inflammatory biomarkers endothelial function heart rate variability hemodynamics In fact, regular sauna bathing is associated with significant reductions in risk of fatal cardiovascular diseases and all-cause mortality. In the Finnish Kuopio Ischemic Heart Disease Risk Factor Study, a prospective cohort study that sampled 2315 middle-aged men from Eastern Finland, researchers came to the following conclusions: Sauna use 2-3 times/week reduced the likelihood of death from cardiovascular-related causes by 27%. Sauna use 4-7 times/week reduced the likelihood of death from cardiovascular-related causes by 50%. Frequent sauna use reduced all-cause premature mortality by 40% Less well-known are the effects of sauna therapy on neurodegeneration. In this prospective study of 2,315 healthy middle-aged Finnish men, researchers arrived at the following conclusions after adjusting for confounding factors: 23 sauna bathing sessions/week was associated with a 22% lower risk of dementia and 20% lower risk for Alzheimer’s. 4-7 sauna bathing sessions/week was associated with a 66% lower risk of dementia and 65% lower risk of Alzheimer’s. 05.01.2022 WHAT DOESN’T KILL YOU, MAKES YOU STRONGER!! How sauna exposure is able to have such amazingly powerful effects on our bodies is largely the result of something called hyperthermic conditioning, the changes your body undergoes when it is regularly exposed to heat stress. Stress? But isn’t stress bad for us? you might ask... That leads us to an important point. We need to understand the concept of hormesis (good stress). As much as the word stress has become associated with all kinds of negative effects, it turns out that counterintuitively some types of stress are actually profoundly beneficial to human health. It’s not too far to say that certain types of stress may even be the crux of human health, energy, resilience, resistance to disease, and even longevity. This is called hormesis, and it is the principle that certain types of transient stress of our bodies stimulate our biology to make cellular adaptations that make us stronger and healthier. #infraredsauna #sauna #saunabenefits #healthylifestyle #health #wellness #hormesis #letsgetsweaty #wollongong #infraredawesomeness

03.01.2022 #Repost @lismoresauna with @get_repost Infrared Sauna AND Red Light Therapy is effective in balancing hyper-pigmentation & hypo-pigmentation for greater evenness in the skin tone. Hyperpigmentation can be caused by sun damage, inflammation, or other skin injuries, including those related to acne vulgaris. People with darker skin tones are more prone to hyperpigmentation, especially with excess sun exposure. Many forms of hyperpigmentation are caused by an excess productio...n of melanin. Hypopigmentation refers to patches of skin that are lighter than your overall skin tone. Your skin's pigmentation, or color, is based on the production of a substance called melanin. If your skin cells don't produce enough melanin, the skin can lighten. These effects can occur in spots or may cover your entire body. The Infrared radiation treats wrinkles by elevating the levels of collagen and elastin contents from the stimulated fibroblasts. Red Light helps remove the bacteria that causes acne, and generates cellular activity that deals with age spots and sun damage. 02.01.2022 Dr Rhonda Patrick laying down some more info as to why you should be including Sauna Therapy in your wellness routine. #### #Repost @foundmyfitness with @get_repost About to sweat even more as I head into the sauna post HIIT workout! I've been getting in the sauna immediately after my high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and aerobic workouts and it really seems to be having a positive effect on my muscle mass. ... A very recent study has found that whole-body hyperthermia (similar to using a sauna) may preserve or increase muscle mass and increase mitochondrial biogenesis. Hyperthermia is a state of elevated core body temperature that activates molecular mechanisms that mitigate protein damage and drive the body’s in-house repair systems. Mitochondrial biogenesis is the process by which new mitochondria are made inside cells. Many factors can activate mitochondrial biogenesis including exercise, heat stress, and others. The whole-body heat treatment switched on the activity of genes involved in maintaining skeletal muscle mass. It also increased the expression of heat shock proteins and Nrf2. Nrf2 is a cellular protein that regulates the expression of antioxidant and stress response proteins. Its activity is an indicator of mitochondrial biogenesis. As an aside, sulforaphane is the major dietary activator of Nrf2. A small intervention study in humans found that daily heat treatments applied locally to muscle during 10 days of immobilization prevented the loss of mitochondrial function, increased heat shock protein levels, and attenuated skeletal muscle atrophy by 37% compared to a sham treatment group. These results have been replicated in animal studies and have been shown to be dependent on heat shock proteins which can repair misfolded, damaged proteins, thereby ensuring proteins maintain their proper structure and function. This is also important for maintaining muscle mass. I unabashedly admit that I still need to add more strength training into my exercise routine. This is a work-in-progress. But I will also unabashedly admit that the HIIT + sauna combo is pretty fucking awesome! #sauna #hiit #heatshockproteins #fitness
