25.01.2022 Yesterday Angus Fanning Project Manager Coastal NSW for OzFish Unlimited met with Revive Lake Cathie and OzFish Unlimited - Lake Cathie Chapter ahead of the urgent Lake Stakeholder meeting called for next week. It was devastating to show the escalating situation to Ozfish who assist Aussie member recreational fishers to work to rehabilitate, maintain and improve the health of their rivers, lakes and estuaries and shore up the future of the sport they love. We thank Ozfish for their support #revivelakecathie #voiceofthelake #makelakecathiegreatagain #heartbreaking

25.01.2022 Revive Lake Cathie’s Peter Fitzroy and Kate Aston spoke to PRIME7 News North Coast ahead of the urgent Lake Stakeholder meeting to be hosted by Revive Lake Cathie this week. 24.01.2022 The rains have made it increasingly difficult for us to check our mail in the Lake Innes Nature Reserve this morning #revivelakecathie #voiceofthelake . . . thanks to Peter Fitzroy

23.01.2022 REVIVE LAKE CATHIE'S NSW WATERWATCH NOVEMBER 2020 TESTING RESULTS ANNOUNCEMENT Revive Lake Cathie’s Marine Biologist, Dr Deb Geronimi has qualified Revive Lake Cathie's NSW Waterwatch November 2020 testing results. Dr Deb’s results indicate again that the overall lake heath is extremely poor and has extremely poor water quality. In one month from October 2020 to November 2020, ammonia levels have risen, dead fish have been spotted and salinity levels are increasing... due to the closure of the lake. Sulphates are still a huge problem in the lake due to acid sulphate release. Unfortunately the Stingray’s that were spotted last month were not seen on this sampling trip and may have perished. The Community of the Port Macquarie-Hastings is advised of the potential loss of this beautiful natural resource. Again, Revive Lake Cathie calls for Lake Stakeholders to immediately undertake implementation of measures to halt the national environmental catastrophe underway in the Lake Cathie/Lake Innes Estuarine System. Testing results are available thanks to volunteer efforts of our Revive Lake Cathie NSW Waterwatch Team. #revivelakecathie #voiceofthelake #lakeredtape #environmentaldisaster #makelakecathiegreatagain See more

18.01.2022 Without immediate action to save the Lake Cathie/Lake Innes Estuarine System, our kids may only experience nature in beautiful YouTube videos like this one #revivelakecathie #voiceofthelake #makelakecathiegreatagain #environmentaldisaster

13.01.2022 The extent of the acid sulfate poisoning of our lake was very confronting for Revive Lake Cathie’s NSW Waterwatch team yesterday. Immediate action from all stakeholders is needed right now for any recovery of our lake to be possible. Thank you Vantage Point UAV Photography for your love of our lake and support of Revive Lake Cathie #revivelakecathie #voiceofthelake

13.01.2022 Congratulations to our very own Kate Aston, who has been nominated in the 2020 Shine Awards. Kate's volunteerism in leading and implementing Revive Lake Cathie's NSW Waterwatch Program has been exemplary and a great example of how each one of us can all make a difference. Kate loves the Lake Cathie/Lake Innes Estuarine System and is solid in her focus to return it to its former glory as the "Jewel of the Hastings" for our kids, marine life and our community. Kate is fulltime... Revive Lake Cathie each and every day and we thank her, Sarah & Lucy for everything they do for our lake. The 2020 Shine Awards puts the spotlight on regional and rural women who are making a real difference to their communities, businesses and industries, and Kate certainly does that for our Lake. Congratulations Kate, we all think you are amazing #revivelakecathie #voiceofthelake @theweeklytimesau #shine Harvey Norman See more

This week Revive Lake Cathie kicks off our January 2021 NSW Waterwatch Testing Program ahead of tonnes of advocacy planned for the year ahead, so stay tuned. In 2021 Revive Lake Cathie will continue the fight to protect our Lake, its marine life, its flora and fauna and our Community. A fight that isn’t over by a long shot.
