24.01.2022 Gorgeous Club Chair fully rebuilt. An absolute labour of love. Upholstered in Warwick Alanis Terracotta, Simplicity Terracotta and Alonzo Terracotta.
23.01.2022 Beautiful old and heavy! Chesterfield I recovered recently. Client supplied fabric. Looks beautiful in it's own home.
22.01.2022 Bare naked ladies on the bench this week!
20.01.2022 This chair, structurally was in ridiculously good condition. The frame just needed a re-oil and I just added a thin layer of foam and dacron to the back and seat. The fabric is one I had in stock that the client fell in love with.
19.01.2022 An occasional chair that belonged to my clients Grandfather. It was extremely uncomfortable as it only had horsehair and scraps of fabric as the seat. I also loved the old hay that was used as the edging. This chair got the whole works from having the frame shellacked, rewebbed, new hessian, new edge roll, new foam and dacron upholstered in Warwick Bodhi Spice and finished with a double piping trim.
17.01.2022 Full restoration of these Art Deco Radio Rockers. Upholstered in Wortley Group Jazz Peacock.
17.01.2022 A lovely friend of mine made me a sign for the gate. You can't miss me now! The big blue hall is a private residence. Revive Revamp Reuse is situated at the back of the property in the brick building straight down the driveway. Open by appointment only.
15.01.2022 My client wanted to refresh these cushions as the leather was starting to wear on the seat. The seat cushion was just shy of 2.5 metres long! Definitely gave my arms a good workout sewing it. Instead of piping I did a twin stitch on all the seams. Vinyl was used instead of leather as it is more cost effective and a lot of vinyl these days looks so much like leather it can be hard to tell the difference. Vinyl used was Warwick Lustrell Ranger Port
15.01.2022 Loving the fabric combo today! Wortley Group Drift Tulip & Graphite.
14.01.2022 Another cushion job where the cushions had some wear but the rest of the sofa was fine. My client opted to just use a complimenting colour from the stripe and went with Wortley Group Jazz Hunter. The original foam was also reused. I 'refreshed' it with steam as this plumps the foam back into shape and covered it with a layer of dacron.
13.01.2022 Not something I usually do but always keen to take on a new challenge. Custom made diving vest.
12.01.2022 Cute little footstool revamped in a lovely modern fabric supplied by the client.
10.01.2022 2 Seater Chesterfield that needed springs repaired, a whole new platform made and new cushion. Client decided to go with an easy clean vinyl and just one long cushion instead of two cushions as essentially this was going to be one of their much loved dog's bed. Lucky pooch! Vinyl used for the cushion was Wortley Group Pellan Ultimate Burgundy.
09.01.2022 Just a bit of the nitty gritty of reupholstery. A few decades of dust and endless staples that need to be pulled out. Staple removing is a lot more tedious with chairs that have show wood. I use at least 3 types of staple removers all with slightly different functions so as not to damage the wood. These chairs had 4 rows of staples. The top fabric, a thin layer of foam, calico and staples which would have been from the chairs first cover. I like to remove all staples and tacks (don't get me started on those) so that I have a clear and clean area for reupholstery.
09.01.2022 What a transformation! From floral drab to modern contemporary. Wortley Group Boston Linen.
08.01.2022 Before and after pics of these chairs pads. Recovered in Wortley Group Madrid Natural.
05.01.2022 Before and after shots of a deep buttoned ottoman. Client supplied fabric.
05.01.2022 So we're in the second week of school holidays. I've had a helper/apprentice, my 9 year old son William. Here he is showing me a new way to use my overlocker. As helpful as my kids can be it does mean I can't work as many hours as when they are at school. So apologies if you are still waiting for me to work on your jobs, but please know it's all happening.
01.01.2022 Before and after pics of these fab stools. I added new foam and dacron and recovered them in Wortley Group Drift Tulip with contrasting piping in Drift Graphite. Fab transformation!
