18.01.2022 Essential Oils should NOT be intimidating! Look I completely understand, when I started my Essential Oil journey is seemed complicated and left me feeling a bit daunted... but what I discovered was that essential oils are actually pretty simple & very cool to use once you know how to use them correctly. If you have been trying to reduce your use of harmful chemicals toxins and preservatives within your family why not take it a step further and start introducing essential... oils into your home. I realised what a difference essential oils can make in my life when I was searching for a better alternative to those nasty insect repellents. You see I live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and we have LOTS of mosquitos but had been increasing concerned about the toxicity of the regular insect repellents we were using on our skin daily. After some trial and error with the essential oils I had on hand at home I finally came up with a winning combination for us. Hubby loved it, the kids loved it & it stopped those pesky mozzies... 17.01.2022 I love that I can still be amazed by these awesome oils... Oregano Oil, I use this oil a lot, it helps support the body with colds & flus & helps prevent my sinus infections that I am prone to (since starting to use this oil as support 12 months ago I haven’t had a sinus infection, something I used to have at least 3 times a year) But recently my son had a terrible infection with his ingrown toe nail, I listened to my head instead of gut & started treating it with traditio...nal methods - antiseptic cream, hydrogen peroxide but the infection kept getting worse & soon the side of his toe was so swollen & infected he could hardly wear shoes & the infection was moving down his toe I decided to throw out traditional methods & trust in my knowledge of the oils. I started a treatment of a 10 minute, shallow warm water soak with 6 drops Melaleuca & 6 drops On Guard 3 x a day, then dry it off, wipe off any old blood or gunk & put 1 drop of Oregano Oil on the infection & let soak in Within two days the infection was gone...
