23.01.2022 Update for South Australia
22.01.2022 New tax tables available now from the ATO
21.01.2022 Getting the Word out Communication is key I know we hear this day in day out, but RIGHT now and I mean RIGHT now being Today ... It is extremely important that you let people know what is going on Working with businesses and managers that work in various fields here are some key things we have been talking and thinking about, firstly what this does is opens your mind to thinking about what others are thinking. You see we are so busy, we forget to remind others what is going on and you got it most people are not reading our minds we actually have to open our mouths and communicate it to them. Some things to think about - Are you in business? - Are your doors open or closed? - What are you selling? - What can you sell? - How are you trading? - Have your opening hours changed? - Do you have a premises/shop front or are you operating online? - How are you being safe? - What and how can I communicate this to my clients/customers both past and present? - What else do we need to consider And Remember don't make assumptions, I too am guilty of this, we have all be so caught up with lots of other things sometimes we forget to simply step back, think, breathe and take action on the things that matter most.
21.01.2022 Your Super Reminder Did you know Super Guarantee is set to Increase to 10% as of 1 July 2021? As we approach 30 June it is important to think about yourself too... Have you paid yourself super? Are you entitled to claim any payment to your super fund as a tax deduction (please refer to your tax agent for advise). Today I have been tidying up my own super obligations and thought it was a time to remind you to do the same. Each year I review what I am entitled to claim as a tax deduction, I ensure it is paid to my super fund on time and ensure that I have filed an Intention to Claim form direct with my super fund. This is an ATO form that is a requirement. Super Guarantee to Increase to 10% The minimum percentage employers are required to pay is set to increase over time, with the next increase to 10% due on 1st July 2021. It is currently 9.5% When the compulsory SG contribution level is increased, a business will need to adjust their payroll systems to pay the increased amount of super. If they don’t pay the correct rate of SG into employees’ super accounts by the quarterly due date, they may have to pay the Superannuation Guarantee Charge (SGC). Manage Cash Flow With the increase in compulsory super contributions coming out of the same business budget as wages, and all other on-costs such as workers compensation, payroll tax, PAYG and superannuation, businesses need to plan ahead to ensure they are able to afford the ongoing costs of superannuation increases? This pending increase and all future increases need to be built into a business budget as to be considered part of wage increases over time. Best practice is that it is better to overestimate than underestimate. Accurate and up-to-date financial records will help a business manage cash flow. By regularly reviewing your business’s performance, the business owner, Bookkeeper, and Tax Agent can address financial problems immediately. Assess the total employment costs of the business and add a percentage on top of the total costs to cover not just the rise in superannuation, but also any miscellaneous expenses and unforeseen blow-outs. Every employer’s obligation to pay superannuation will increase as of 1st July 2021. This is an increased cost to business that must be considered for cashflow and budgeting purposes. It is really important to make sure you keep up to date with your super obligations and remember you are important too. Reach out if you have any questions [email protected]

15.01.2022 Everyday I am privlidged to speak and work with amazing people that are helping people in different ways. I am continually reminded that having a conversation asking questions and listening to what other people have to say are vital ingredients for both myself and for the others. Personal experiences help you grow and the ability to communicate and listen to others is a real gift. Hearing and experiencing their extreme highs and lows allows me to help them troubleshoot probl...ems before they happen or fix them quickly before an major damage occurs. Right now I am hearing people are either extremely overwhelmed and overworked or they are stuck and not knowing what to do. The worst thing you can do is ignore these messages The best thing is that you can listen, share open up and talk about it. Seek clarity guidance and support from others that want to help make a difference. Someone else's perspective may be all you need, they may share a thought or some guidance that triggers something for you that allows you to make that change. What harm could it do, remember the choice is always yours. Choose to take it on board or choose to ignore it. The choice is always in your hands x

14.01.2022 We all wake up in the morning and make a choice of what we do next and how that morning looks At times it feels like things pull us in certain directions It is up us to make the choice as to how and what we do next Just imagine for a moment you had a blank page in front of you, you can choose to write your day exactly how you want it to look... OOOH just imagine that - what would you choose to do, would you do it exactly as you did this morning or yesterday or what would you change? Some people use journal's, notebooks, to-do-lists, white boards and the like. Whatever your method the end result is the same Remember you have all the blank pages in front of you What do you choose to write? It's your life, your story, your choice Own it, make it yours

09.01.2022 I love a good walk It helps clear my mind Somedays I can get all caught up in resolving other people's problems that my brain gets all fuzzy For me clearing my mind quickly so that I can stay focused in problem solving is essential I find a walk in nature or at the beach or just getting my body moving helps to reset the brain... I know walking is not everyone's thing but the idea is to find something to take your mind of things for a while Maybe its having a coffee, going for a drive or get being still Whatever it is make sure you take time to just chill and be you Clearing your mind will help you refocus See more

06.01.2022 Today we think and plan Everyday in business you get new ideas, thoughts and plans I don't know about you, but sometimes this can get overwhelming For me taking the time to pause and review is key It's key for my growth as a person and as a business owner... But most importantly for my sanity ..if I am brutally honest I get asked alot, so how do you approach it? How do you even start to think about this? I don't even know what? Here are my top tips 1. Grab a note book, pen and a cuppa 2. Then just write, I tend to write in dot points 3. Then I think about my plan 4. What do I what to achieve in the next 90 days 5. What are my not negotiables 6. Finally what else Then I keep it simple and make sure I have a calculated action list that I feel is right for me So what are you waiting for? Go spill your beans to your notebook and write x

02.01.2022 Calling all Barossa Valley Lovers What a fantastic little business opportunity and or personal home You don't often get an opportunity like this for 3 properties that are beautiful and in a great location
01.01.2022 Getting your ducks in a row Now is a great time to think about what you want to achieve between now and Christmas or now and the end of the year. Dare I say it maybe, even just maybe do some 2021 planning.... I know there are shit load of things we all want to change about 2020 but you know we can't. Let's all make the choice now Everyday from now to the end of the year - Choose to tick something of that list everyday - Choose to be YOU and apologetically YOU everyday - Choose what makes you happy Remember it is always your choice how you feel and act in any situation We all have good and bad days but you can choose to be the best version of YOU That best version of YOU is what the world needs right now Stay safe and remember it is your choice x
01.01.2022 My day is filled with a variety of tasks One moment I am paying bills and preparing the weekly cashflow forecast The next call I am strategising on the next steps to take in business, and how that might look. From that I step into marketing, how can I and businesses I work with leverage off different networks, platforms and the like. What is a good use of your time, what is not. ... How can you achieve more by doing less? To logging in to remote servers, troubleshooting and providing support services to administration/finance and bookkeepers alike. Using cloud solutions like Quickbooks, MYOB, Reckon, Xero and Receipt Bank. Responding to Emails, Phone Calls and providing support to clients that are stuck or unsure what to do next. And that was just this morning. And why am I telling you all this. Well I am not sure if you remember, but I did promise to start giving you some insights into my world, you see on the surface people make assumptions about what people do and what that world looks like, but underneath there is much more to it. It is also to give you a better understanding of how I may in the future be able to help you/ support you/ guide you in your business or management life. Maybe just maybe I have some knowledge that can be shared to help you achieve the lifestyle or business success that you are looking for. Ultimately I want to make a difference, I want to help people understand that there are choices in this world and that choice is up to you.
