25.01.2022 What a truely fantastic day. Had the pleasure of deliverying 2 machines to their new homes. The first to the amazing ladies at Kilcoys backyard bling and landscaping supplies. This awesome low hours 2t yale delivered with pneumatic tyres to suit the gravel conditions. It was a machine that if these lovely ladies never purchased would of gone straight into my hire fleet. Was a real gem. The second was a brand spanking new 1.8t container masted hyster. At the customers reques...t, delivered with non marking tyres and swapping their longer forks onto the new machine and was put into work before we had even loaded the trade in onto the tilt tray. We look forward to working with this customer to improve the condition of his entire fleet which works just a casual 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. 20.01.2022 Hydraulic rams are an amazing thing. Effortlessly lifting and tilting massive weight with relative ease. But whats really surprising is these engineering marvels are sealed with these 3 inconspicuous pieces of plastic and rubber. A wiper seal ensures when the rod is returned into the cylinder all the impurities and contaminants are removed. The second seal is the pressure seal and its job is to ensure the massive pressures are contained inside the ram and not spurting oil ac...ross your factory or warehouse. And lastly sadly cut from the pic is a simple oring which seals the gland or seal housing to the cylinder barrel. So there you go. 16.01.2022 A battery to an electric forklift is like the heart to the human body. Take care of it and it will last a lifetime (or in the batteries case between 5-10 years depending on charge cycles). Neglect it and it will suffer horrible consequences. A few fun facts surrounding battery maintenance and longevity.... 1) keep it full of water, but only ever fill it after its been on charge. 2)think of charge cycles like lives. A battery has roughly 1500 lives. Every time you charge it. It loses a life. Regardless of if its a full charge cycle or 10 minutes because you forgot to charge it overnight. 3)even if you dont use the machine enough to flatten the battery in a few weeks. Charge it minimum of once a fortnight. Batteries that sit for long periods discharged will fair worse than those being charged regularly.
