20.01.2022 Hey everyone, As you are all probably aware, all gyms have to close for 2 weeks minimum as of midnight tonight. This means there will be no further classes or Personal Training sessions held at Revolution Health Clubs until we are notified by the government.... It’s is a disappointing moment for South Australians as a majority of us come to be a part of a community, not just for the physical benefits but for the benefits it has on our mental health. I would like to thank our members and staff who have been & continue to sanitise hands, wipe down all equipment after use & are very respectful of all procedures implemented for covid 19. It’s a shame that such beneficial facilities to the public are the first to close down with out much thought but we understand the reasoning and we respect the decisions made because your health IS our priority. We will be in touch with all of you over the next couple of days with a game plan. Stay safe and healthy. See more

20.01.2022 It was a nice fresh morning for our 6am Run Club this morning. We started off with 6 hill climbs with sprint on every 3rd, on to interval hill sprints on the old Montefiore hill followed by a small little body weight a sprint circuit. Today we ended up running a total of 6km within 45mins. Such a great way to start the week after a lockdown. ... Swing us to DM or comment to be invited into our private Run Club Chat where we release different running locations each week. See you all back in the gym tomorrow See more

17.01.2022 Seeing progress is amazing and it makes you feel so good about yourself and like all the hard work you are putting in is worth it. - However progress is not always linear and when those scales stop moving or the cm’s aren’t going down it can be very disheartening. What sometimes can be harder to see or realise is that there are many forms of progress and they go far beyond the bathroom scales.... - It might be those clothes fitting a little better. It might be that tough workout getting a little easier. It could be better energy levels, improved sleeping routine or sticking to that diet that little bit longer than last time. It’s these small wins that help you get closer to that end goal and without them the final result can seem so far out reach. - These 1%’ers may not seem like much at the time but applying them consistently over a long period of time is how goals are achieved. Take happiness in the small wins and always remember that good fitness and a healthy lifestyle is a marathon, not a sprint. Pace yourself and work closer towards that goal everyday. . . . #consistency #patiencewins #fitnessjourney #thepeoplesgym #gym #adelaide #smallwins #fitness

16.01.2022 Goals and achieving them When setting goals it can be a bit daunting knowing where to start and how to best go about them. A goal setting strategy that can be helpful is using the S.M.A.R.T acronym!... S - Specific Your goal needs to be specific to YOU and what you EXACTLY are trying to achieve. Without specifics, your goal is less likely to be achieved. This is like saying you want to build muscle without specifying which ones. M - Measurable Your goals needs to be measurable to track progress. Without a clear, objective definition of the distinction, the journey can take a lot longer than it needs to. This is like saying: I want to lose weight rather than I want to lose 10 kilos. A - Attainable Making your goals something that is achievable is important, for example you probably won’t be able to run a marathon after training for one month with no previous running experience. Give your goal the amount of work and time it requires and it will more than likely be a success. R - Relevant Your goal and strategy to achieving it need to be in alignment. For example you won’t all of a sudden get better at running by swimming laps in a pool. The plan needs to be relevant to the desired outcome. T - Time-framed This is about giving your goal a realistic time frame to achieve the result. This is very important and is often the missing piece of the puzzle. People either burn out trying to achieve a goal too quickly or they go to the opposite extreme and fall off the wagon due to not setting a time constraint for their goal. Next time you set a goal, fitness or otherwise, think about these factors and apply them and you will automatically set yourself up for a more successful outcome. Have a good weekend team! . . . #goalsetting #smart #fitnessgoals #gym #thepeoplesgym #jointherevolution #adelaide
14.01.2022 The 80/10/10 Rule Life is far from perfect. There will be moments that are amazing and leave you on a huge high, there will be moments that really bring you down and take the wind out of your sails and there will be everything in-between where you are simply just there. Your time in the gym is no different.... Not every session is going to feel amazing, granted there are some that will and they will leave you feeling unstoppable or others that will leave you completely defeated but the reality is, that most of your time in the gym will be spent in that middle ground, hitting the required numbers and ticking the box. This is the 80 - 10 - 10 concept. The 80 refers to the middle ground. This is where you should be spending 80% of your time in the gym, hitting the numbers, enough to progress but not overexerting yourself to your limit every single session. This is the zone where progress is made and habits are built. This is the most important zone and it’s importan to realise that this percentage of time will be crucial to your long term progress. The other 20% of the time is divided into two sections, the top 10% of the time when you are the fittest, strongest and most motivated version of yourself, and the lowest 10% is those days where it all just feels impossible, both however are necessary. That 90-100% range shows you what you are truly capable of, it is the highest and strongest version of yourself and leaves you feeling amazing afterwards. These are the sessions that make it all worth it and keep you motivated and hungry for more. The bottom 10% of time is not a fun place to be, it’s when times are tough and your goals may seem so far away but this is all just testing you and these times never last long. Most importantly they are crucial to build discipline and commitment AND it makes achieving those goals that much more satisfying!! Think about this after that hard session, trust in all the work you’ve put in prior to this bad session and remember that there is always the next one and its all part of the process! Have a good weekend Revolution Family! . . . #fitnessjourney #progress #thepeoplesgym #jointherevolution

06.01.2022 Happy Sunday team! Make this coming week a productive and successful one with these tips. Time Management ... Being organised and dedicating specific time frames to achieve various tasks is greatly overlooked. We all have a digital calendar at our fingertips and putting even a few things in each day could help you better keep on track! Getting enough Sleep Without adequate rest and recovery your cognitive function and energy levels will plummet. Not getting that recommended 7-8 hours per night will not only make general life and work tasks hard. It will also impact your performance in the gym and slow down rate of recovery drastically, taking those health and fitness goals further from reach. Routine The fun thing about routine is that it’s completely yours. You decide what it consists of and it’s a huge part of what shapes us as individuals and makes us all unique. Building a consistent routine is one of the best things you can do for yourself as it teaches you the ability of discipline and building habits. These will not only make you a better person at work or in your personal life, discipline and consistency are major keys to success in achieving good health and fitness. You time Taking time for yourself is key to a healthy life balance and peace of mind. Imagine your life as a seesaw, too much weight to one end and it upsets the balance of the other side. Your life is no different and without that adequate time to decompress and do the things you like, you will find yourself stuck in the hamster wheel until you eventually run out of steam. Enjoy those moments of peace and make them part of your week. . . . #thepeoplesgym #success #happiness #lifestyle #jointherevolution #healthandfitness #mindbodysoul

06.01.2022 Happy Monday morning team, As our classes a getting to capacity again and our community is growing. It is now more important than ever to book all sessions through MINDBODY in advance. With the tight covid restrictions still in place and although SA is doing a fantastic job to keep our numbers down. There is still a maximum amount of numbers we can have in our facility at one time. ... We recommend that you book on a Sunday night for the week ahead and commit to your sessions. We do not have a penalty for late cancellations yet but out of respect to other members who could miss out on a class please cancel well and truly before the class. In saying that, we are at the drawing board planing some more classes in the near future & also looking to get some more gym space by the end of the year! None of this could be a possibility without all of our members support with frequent cleaning of all equipment and respecting our capacity numbers and we thank you all. If you have any trouble at all with MINDBODY, reach out and we can sort it all out for you! See you all soon! See more
