16.01.2022 IT'S OVER: - At 7pm (Sydney time) on Sunday, the clock finally ticked over to close off the vR24 (virtual Revolve24). I meant to post this when it finished, but... I was a little wobbly in the body, and mind! But this is the moment: my first impressions. I am a little gibberish here ... but it is what it is, how it happens ... suffice to say it was a really hard 24 hours, a block that included a lot more climbing than I anticipated. I was very happy though with 7th place among the 24 Hour soloists with 554km at 7878m elevation and first in my 55-59 age group. Big thanks to event organiser David Fell for putting on another great event, and to everyone for your support, especially to Fred Balbonii and Geoff Collins. Two super and very special people! Miles and Julian are experienced cyclists and Revolvers, having podiumed at Brands Hatch last time out. Myles' uses a Wattbike and Julian use a Wahoo Kickr Fan on, music on, drinks and energy food close by, it's all we need.
