19.01.2022 (Part 1) Artistic dreams are always worth making time for. This passing comment inspired my decision to take some time away. So away I went. To the dreamiest little cabin by the seaside @mysisterandthesea . ... An opportunity to recharge & re-inspire and if you create art, of any kind, the best place away from the pressures and pulls of daily life. And so, it went a little like this... I painted, and read all those books I have been meaning to read; I sat on the beach and stared at the waves, for hours. I marvelled at the seashells on the shore - all of them - their colour, their patterns, their shapes. And I researched natural scents, scouring, bottling specimens and journaling. 15.01.2022 Like many of you, I have spent a good part of the last 14 months focusing inwards and attuned to practicing my trade daily. And when you’re in it, it’s so hard to see outside of the bubble. So content in this space. So very content that I tend to lose perspective and this is not balanced nor conducive for any artistic practice. So I’ve taken a Sojourn. At the very end of the earth in a magical hideaway by the sea. A new place to live and work outside of my normal environment. Gifting me time to reflect and learn. I can’t wait to share this special place with you and to share all the things I learned on reflection. Amanda xx

08.01.2022 I am asked often if my Perfumery Studio will be open for you to visit. Oh I dearly wish one day it could be. I hope you see that this is my special spot away from the world. The world, that everytime I go into it, I feel a bigger divide from what I need it to be and the reality of what it actually is. My Studio is a haven I can create freely in. Without judgment, insipid white noise and displeasing distractions. A world-away, I guess you could say. But maybe one day...... I m...ight feel brave enough.
