21.01.2022 A very heavy chopping trolley. It has a drawer and a reversible chopping block. I almost needed a hoist to lift the block up.

21.01.2022 The first 2 hall tables I have made since setting up at Longford. Huon pine with clear sassafras interior and turned legs.

20.01.2022 Here I am buzzing a slab of macrocarpa to the limits of the machine at 400mm wide. Little buzzer didn't miss a beat.

16.01.2022 Music cabinet being constructed with inlayed panels , waiting for the drawers.

15.01.2022 Putting together folding table legs for my 1st batch of folding tables made in The new improved Longford workshop.

14.01.2022 Figured Myrtle Veneer bookshelves with stainless bases.

13.01.2022 3 legged chair !!!! I think 4 legs work better

13.01.2022 A new solid Myrtle dining setting with 2 carvers. Table top in matching figured Myrtle all the boards were from the same log thanks to Rob Keogh at Britton Bros in Smithton. The chairs are upholstered using zigzag springs making the deep seat quite firm, but will wear well over the years.

11.01.2022 I have folding tables and stools in stock now in various Tas timber varieties ie ..figured Blackwood, Birdseye Huon pine, figured myrtle , black heart sassafras and figured Tasmanian oak ( eucalypt ) They can easily be delivered around Australia through Australia post , packed up in especially made boxes. The special folding mechanism makes it so easy to open up and lock into a metal pin.

11.01.2022 FINALLY !!!! The 1st batch of folding tables and stools are all assembled and ready to be lacquered. It's taken ages to get to this stage but a really rewarding endeavour to re-fine all the patterns and jigs. Another few days and they will be packed up and sent out to those that have been waiting. Cheers

10.01.2022 At the moment Launceston and Smithton are being invaded by ATO officers to check on people who evade their tax responsibilities like hairdressers, butchers and any other small businesses. Taking note of this recently released document one has to really wonder how true is the assertion about bullying of small vulnerable businesses while leaving alone large corporates like this lot. The amount that could be collected would build a new national fast rail network in the one year without or provide FREE solar panels to every home. AMAZING

09.01.2022 I love a mortise and tenon joint especially in tables. May 2017 be a great year for everyone. Happy new year !!!!!

08.01.2022 Small writing desk with chair made from a mixture of figured Myrtle veneer and solid with Huon inlay.

07.01.2022 Music cabinet finished and delivered. Fiddle back Tas Blackwood with Huon inlay.

06.01.2022 Nearly finished a table with cutlery drawers to seat 8. In tas oak which is just loverly to work with. All mortice and tenons and dovetails. Takes awhile but satisfying work

05.01.2022 A new hall mirror. 1700H x 800W. Beveled glass, dark Blackwood, burl Tas oak and Huon trim. Also heavy.

02.01.2022 After quite some time in the development process I am really pleased with this new chair. It's based on a chair I made a few years ago with a few changes. Some say that with a new chair it takes 5 batches to get it right. This is number 4 so let's see. It will have a full sprung seat. Can't wait to sit in it. Cheers
