25.01.2022 Free Meals at RSNH Our food relief program is still running under Stage Four Lockdown! Each week we prepare frozen meals for our community with rescued produce from Open Table. Meals are available for pickup and takeaway from 104a Reynard st, Coburg. Please ensure you are following government guidelines when visiting to collect food. We are open for pick up and takeaway from Monday to Friday, 11am to 2pm. Please call for more information or to organise a time to pick up meals with no contact.

17.01.2022 Pet Food Donation Big thank you to Second Chance Animal Rescue Inc. for their donation of a number of bags of both dog and cat food! We are excited to be able to pass these donations on to people (and pets) in our community that really need it. 13.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE Hi Community members, We hope you are all keeping safe and well. We are just wanted to provide an update on what Term 4 and the rest of 2020 is going to look like here at Reynard Street Neighbourhood House. Due to ongoing restrictions as detailed in the Roadmap developed by the Victorian Government, we have decided to postpone all in-person programs for the remainder of the year. We will continue to review this decision in light of any changes and hope to... meet again, face to face, in term 1 of 2021. In the meantime, we have been working hard on some new projects including our food relief program that will continue in term 4 and a number of our programs will continue online such as English, Computers, and Italian. Afshan and her team have been using our kitchen to cook halal food to respond to the needs of the community for a little while now and we absolutely love the joy and vibrancy that they bring to the house! Well done to all of them, keep up your amazing work!

07.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE Hi Community members, In light of the ongoing situation regarding Coronavirus and the implementation of Stage-3 lockdown, we have decided to remain closed throughout term 3. This includes the cancellation of all in-person programs, playgroups, events and room bookings. We hope to reopen on Monday 5th October, the beginning of term 4. This may be subject to change depending on advice from the Victorian Government, but we will be sure to keep you up to date.... In the meantime, we are excited to be offering a number of programs online including our English classes and Italian classes. During this time we will also be continuing our food relief program by preparing free homemade meals for pickup and takeaway. All other programs and playgroups will be put on hold until term 4. 06.01.2022 Hot Halal Meals! So grateful to the Muslim Women's Council of Victoria for the donation of approximately 60 hot Halal meals! If you or anyone you know is in need of some hot Halal food we will be here until 4pm today. Any left over will be put in the freezer for people to collect next week. Refugees and Asylum Seekers make up an important part of our community and in a lot of cases, they have unfortunately been overlooked when it comes to government support during Coronavirus. To address this we are preparing frozen meals and assorted groceries available for anyone in need or facing food insecurity at this time. This week we have some really delicious meals including this stuffed sweet potato, lentil shepherd's pie, chorizo pasta, broccoli and roast garlic soup, and more! All meals are cooked fresh on Wednesdays and Thursdays and then frozen. Our emergency food relief program also includes a few groceries including bread, long-life milk, eggs and snacks.
