21.01.2022 Don’t forgot where you started. Proud, but not satisfied. I remember starting the gym and having no idea what I was doing. Doing exercises and not knowing what muscles I was even working lol, but I stayed consistent everyday after school. Even on weekends I’d walk 30min to and from the gym to get a work out in, that didn’t phase me because I loved doing it. ... But on the other end, there were times I had to train late nights after work. Could I be bothered? Did I really want to? No. I was exhausted. If anyone has worked night fill, I’m sure you’d know filling pallet after pallet of drinks isn’t fun. 12am came around, I went straight to the gym and did my session because I knew it had to be done. I learnt lots of discipline doing this. Fast forward 7 years and here we are. Not only do you see a physical transformation, but a massive internal transformation. 07.01.2022 I’ve recently swapped out the barbel squat to the hack squat as my main quad movement. Why? 1. The ability to load muscle and reach failure MUCH more safely ... 2. Greater knee flexion (more ROM) Free weight squats are a great exercise and excellent functional movement we should all do at some point.
