18.01.2022 EMERGENCY EMERGENCY The call went out , some workers on site heard the faint criesof what sounded like a kitten , coming from deep inside the stormwater pipes. We need help , somebody help, were the cries, coming from the crowds that had gathered in a short time .... It’s a goner , it’s to far in, can’t reach it , was the chatter. The crowd had gone quiet , realising the fate which would soon become the reality for that feline But one man stood up , Nathan Edwards yelled I will go in , and slipped into darkness , into a dark hole , what lay beyond only Nathan and the kitty would know. 36 minutes had passed , the crowd had given up hope , when from the darkness , Nathan emerged , a soggy wet feline in hand , saved from certain death. 3 cheers for Nathan was the chant Nathan Nathan Nathan Oi Oi Oi A legend was born that day , a yarn that would be told throughout the civil construction industry, one for the ages , as they would say.
