23.01.2022 Since last week’s post, I’ve had a number of enquiries about the various roles to be filled in this occasional jamming garage band. Will sort thru these people and maybe compile a list on a rotating basis, so all get a go. Rock on! ... Tezza
20.01.2022 My last post on this site was two years ago. I have been ill all that time, but I’m back in town now. No drama. (Phil Para had a heart problem recently - he’s recovering now - and musos filled in for him). So, can Rezurexion be revived?... Our rhythm guitarist has moved away. Our lead guitarist is working full time now and has joined a band. And we don’t have a singer. We have a bass guitarist and rotating drummers. Anyone know people who might be interested in some weekend afternoons jamming in these roles? If so, let me know. It’s not a regular commitment - about once per month. Most genres covered, but hard rock preferred. Anything from the 60’s till now. Electric, acoustic, whatever. Below is a video of Dylan (drums) & I (bass) at Musicland about two years ago. 18.01.2022 I have been trying to arrange our next jam sesh. Having trouble getting a singer, but a very accomplished singer with 30 years of showbiz experience is yet to commit. Not likely to have a jam until November, as I’m going in for a knee replacement operation. Lucky I don’t play bass with my leg!
16.01.2022 Two members of Rezurexion played at Musicland's Jam Night on Sunday 18 September 2016. Unfortunately, Rez (lead guitar) could not be there, but Dylan (drums) & Tez (bass) went along. We decided to play 3 Hendrix songs, to keep it simple - needing only a lead guitarist & a singer! Were we in luck! Mick Rohotas (Musicland owner) loves playing Hendrix, & his son (George) can sing. We started with "Hey Joe" & nailed it! Next was "Foxy Lady", & again all good. We had intended to p...lay "Purple Haze", but Mick suggested "All Along The Watchtower", so we did that. It was great to watch Dylan killing it on drums - man, that guy can play! It's so much easier for a band when the drummer keeps you in time. For Tez, it was his first public outing with his Fender bass guitar, & he was very happy that he'd made the right choice. Being the least experienced on stage, he did well to keep up with Dylan & Mick, & play the right notes. In all, a great experience for 2 members of the band! Our plans are for all three of us to jam out a repertoire of songs to give a polished performance next time. Keep on rocking! See more
13.01.2022 ALERT! BREAKING NEWS Rezurexion has just recruited two new lead singers! At a function last night, Tarina offered her singing talents for jam sessions, and Jess said she will do lead/back up vocals. Of course, both of them had been imbibing at the time, but we recruit anyone, any way we can! A promise is a promise, and even ones made when "tired & emotional" must be honoured! ... Rezurexion is very excited about this development! It means that "they complete us". We now have singers, lead guitarists, rhythm guitarists, drummers, & an awesome bass guitarist! (Don't tell anyone, but the real order of importance is in reverse). (In another secret development, we can only reveal that there is a possibility of a keyboard player/singer joining the band. This is still in the negotiation stage, so we can't say any more on that at this time. ) Taking in all of the above, a jam alert is imminent! Some practice sessions will be necessary before the new band members are released to our vast audience! More news as it becomes available Keep on rocking!

08.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS!!! The Rezurexion Jam Session will now be held at Musicland in Fawkner! Same day, same time, different place! We have turned this into a jam session with a touch of birthday party. It’s Bec’s birthday, Rob’s birthday, and Tezza’s 70th birthday. So we decided to hire the venue and do it in style. We have full use of Musicland’s facilities, including full bar service and food provided.... So, we’re still doing the jam - we just have better facilities and a new location. So that’s Sunday 23rd February, from 2:00pm till late! Musicland is at 1359 Sydney Road, Fawkner. Please rsvp, so we can arrange catering, etc. Cheers
