This Hay shed not only saw two of the R&F branches working in together while juggling busy schedules but also utilises our #custom #engineering and design services to create a very efficient design that accommodates a total of 576 4x4 round bales at full capacity! Great use of space, affordable building and an easy solution for their customer to deal with the local supplier and builder all in one transaction

25.01.2022 A Custom Workshop with an R&F twist // We recently completed this 18m wide X 36m long hybrid design for Koala Farms. This project is what we refer to as a true custom design. Why? Well, we incorporated hot and cold rolled steel to meet our clients needs. ... A clear 12m opening that is lockable! How so? Well our top hung metal sliding door system was beefed up with Universal beams and in-slab locking bars so that our client can drive in extra wide machinery, work on them and lockup at the end of day. Their Engineering team will enjoy the new office that was created by adding a 6m X 36m skillion extension along the length of the workshop. We are looking forward to seeing the workshop and office space fitted out and in use over the coming months. From Slab to completion, R&F Gatton looked after the entire project.

24.01.2022 The team at R&F Steel Buildings - Kingaroy recently completed a ripper of a custom #Farmshed in Kingaroy, Queensland. A combination of the clients' needs were considered by Janelle & Richard during the design and planning of this project which includes; Internal height, increased width for spraying harvesters and planters, wash down bays for keeping equipment in top condition and space to store hay. Why do this? ... - Ensure your slab or footing design will respond well to movement in soil - Avoid paying for an under designed slab and paying more for rectification work when it fails We are well under way with this current project at Lake Clarendon for a repeat clients of ours. 1014 M2 of 150mm Concrete slab designed to suit a "H" class soil. Our raft slab design incorporates edge beams, 32Mpa concrete, SL82 mesh, trench mesh and footings to create a very sturdy foundation that can accommodate vehicle access and soil movement with ease. Don't pay for a half baked slab, do it right and save pain later.

We couldn't be more proud of the result we achieved for the Russell Family. This project was designed to accommodate a caravan, integrate a retaining wall to suit the slope of the block. This shed has been planned with form and function in mind. ... This #Skillion #Shed has a few key functions; it serves as a place for vehicle storage, a workshop for tinkering, stowing the caravan when it's off the road and washing everything down afterwards. Overall this project is 9m wide x 24m long x 3.7m high to the eave and includes a 6m awning. It is finished in COLORBOND steel and Lysaght cladding, insulated with CSR Bradford polyair perform 4.0 XHD insulation to the roof and walls and leaves are kept out of gutters with Leaf Stopper gutter guard

16.01.2022 Darrens' Hay Shed // Rosevale, Qld 5th generation dairy farmer Darren approached our team in Gatton to build him a #HayShed for storage and weather protection. This shed isn't Darren's first R&F Shed however it was his first full build project! We #built this 24m wide X 30m long #shed in just 6 days (thanks to hard work and our simple welded & bolted connections). ... This shed is not only set up to protect Darren's produce from the elements but also from pests. We specifically designed a large reinforced concrete beam footing to create a fire ant resistant barrier and also keep costs down so that Darren could keep more funds towards the farm before revisiting the concrete slab sometime in the future. I crouched in a shallow trench on that hell of exposed beaches... steeply rising foothills bare of cover... a landscape pockmarked with war’s inevitable litter... piles of stores... equipment... ammunition... and the weird contortions of death sculptured in Australian flesh... I saw the going down of the sun on that first ANZAC Day... the chaotic maelstrom of Australia’s blooding. I fought in the frozen mud of the Somme... in a blazing destroye...r exploding on the North Sea... I fought on the perimeter at Tobruk... crashed in the flaming wreckage of a fighter in New Guinea... lived with the damned in the place cursed with the name Changi. I was your mate... the kid across the street... the med. student at graduation... the mechanic in the corner garage... the baker who brought you bread... the gardener who cut your lawn... the clerk who sent your phone bill. I was an Army private... a Naval commander... an Air Force bombardier. no man knows me... no name marks my tomb, for I am every Australian serviceman... I am the Unknown Soldier. I died for a cause I held just in the service of my land... that you and yours may say in freedom... I am proud to be an Australian. This message, a poignant tribute to the Australian serviceman, hangs in the former offices of the Queensland State Headquarters of the RSL located in a room under the Shrine of Remembrance.

13.01.2022 Gary's Shed Extension | Oakey, Queensland As you grow and your lifestyle changes, sometimes your shed just is not big enough. This was the case for Gary after he purchased a new property and his caravan just would not fit. Our team was asked to #engineer and #build a #ShedExtension that would look like it had been there all along. ... To make life easier for Gary, we designed the extension so that the small roller door on the gable end would align with a personal access door so that Gary could easily load and unload his caravan when preparing/returning from trips away. Overall this structure is 9.5m Wide x 4.5m long (1 x bay) x 3.9m high to the gutter. The project took a total of 6 weeks and with our team organizing engineering, supply and manufacture of materials, concrete slab, council applications and installation which took 3 days. We think Gary has ended up with a fantastic space that is practical and does not take up any unnecessary space on his block.

12.01.2022 Locally supplied and built! It's so much easier to buy a shed from R&F, each distributor is not only the supplier but also the builder. This project in alpha was completed by Andrew and his team at R&F Steel Buildings Emerald. Damian & Catherine from the Barcaldine Council were more than happy to jump in for a handover photo after such an easy experience. Looking forward to seeing many more projects in this region

This video shows a timelapse of the team installing a completely custom designed and engineered structural steel lintel beam to support a 10m wide top hung metal sliding door system. 11.01.2022 Designing and building a #Garage that adds street appeal and value to your property should be an important consideration when planning your #Shed project. We are stoked with how this design turned out for Robbie. He wanted us to design his garage to accommodate a future #caravan while complementing his property. We got to work and came up with a design that incorporated Lysaght Custom Orb Cladding and James Hardie EasyTex cladding to the front facade of the building. B&D ...Garage Doors supplied us with one of their special range of Roller doors which featured a #timbergrain finish. Overall the building is 3.5m wide x 9m long x 3.4m high (at gutter) with a 15-degree roof pitch. The summer months will be a lot cooler thanks to CSR Bradford Performa XHD Insulation.
