23.01.2022 St Vincent de Paul - Tell a Farm Friend The Drought Community Support Initiative (DCSI) Round 2 is a Federal Government funded grant that provides immediate financial assistance of up to $3000 to farmers, farm workers, or farm suppliers/contractors including sale yard and abattoir workers who have been financially impacted by drought. Payments may cover numerous expenses such as groceries, vehicle maintenance, energy & utility bills, health & medical expenses, for example. T...he benefit is limited to one per household up to a maximum cash payment of $3000. Not all impacts of the drought are the same. Some drought-affected communities have had rainfall, others haven't. Recovery is ongoing. Whatever your situation, it can take time to bounce back. Farmers and farm-related small businesses have until 30 September 2020 to take advantage of two years’ interest free from the Regional Investment Corporation (RIC) before the drought-related loan terms change. Drought and AgBiz Drought loans have offered two years’ interest free terms, followed by three years’ interest only and five years’ principal and interest payments. For Drought and AgBiz Drought loan applications made after 30 September 2020, the terms will revert to five years’ interest only and five years’ principal and interest. 18.01.2022 DROUGHT RELIEF UPDATE EXTENDED TO 31 AUGUST 2020 The CWA of Victoria is able to support those affected by drought by providing relief with household expenses such as groceries, school, electricity, rates, telephone and emergency dental and medical bills. The CWA Drought Relief grants are designed to help people living in areas of drought with the household needs and expenses they have right now.... Grant payments from the CWA of Victoria Drought Relief program are up to a maximum of $3000 per individual applicant and/or household and are available for farming families, farm workers and contractors that are drought-affected and reliant on farming as their primary source of income.
