09.01.2022 Happy Father's Day to all dads out there and especially those in our own Northern Beaches Catering Brigade and all the Northern Beaches district brigades! Hope you have a great day and are spoilt rotten!

08.01.2022 Two of our rescuers attended a hazard reduction burn at the request of Northern Beaches Council due to their concerns for wildlife on site. @Sonja Elwood and Ge...orgie Bailey Campbell checked the site prior to burn commencement and ensured no possums were present in dreys or hollows. During the burn the RFS rescued a threatened Eastern Pygmy Possum and passed her to our volunteers for care. Wonderful to see this type of cooperation between wildlife carers and local agencies #sydneywildliferescue #pygmypossum #RFS #northernbeachessydney

This means land owners and land managers in these are...as must now obtain a free Fire Permit from their local fire authority before lighting any fires, including hazard reduction burns. Even if you’ve been using fire for many years, safe burning is your responsibility. Contact your local Fire Control Centre to obtain your free Fire Permit and follow its conditions. Heavy fines apply for the unsafe use of fire or if your fire escapes. Don’t be the fire risk to your community. Use fire safely. For further information about the BFDP and Fire Permits, go to www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/fire-information/BFDP
