13.01.2022 The new Australian Warning System will see hazard icons change across the country. Bush and grass fire incidents will be depicted with a yellow, orange, or red... triangle depending on the warning level. This means no matter where you live or travel to, the warnings you receive will be the same. The change is based on large scale community research and the Royal Commission into National Natural Disaster Arrangements. #BeEmergencyReady

06.01.2022 Valla Beach RFS are on scene along with our colleagues to the north Urunga & Fernmount RFS Brigades. Fire is under control and almost fully extinguished. A quick response and heavy hitting of manpower made for a quick knock down.

05.01.2022 Tuesday 1 December. HIGH FIRE DANGER Permits remain suspended.

04.01.2022 Fire permits remain suspended in Coffs Harbour and Bellingen LGAs. We will advise when burning can be done again.
