25.01.2022 ENERGEX has warned crooks responsible for copper theft from the power network they will now appear on video as the electricity distributor rolls out more covert CCTV cameras at its sites. This came after police recently caught someone trying to steal from the Beaudesert Energex depot recently and Boonah police callled for public assistance into another break in at the Boonah Energex depot in Samuel Street, Dugandan last week. Between 12.30am and 1am on January 9, police said ...an offender cut the wire fencing at the rear of the Boonah depot, gaining access into the yard and leaving the property with a roll of wire, which was then dumped in the paddock behind the depot. A statement from acting Natural Resource minister Mark Ryan said earlier this year south-east Queensland's "dumbest crooks" began stealing copper from the live electricity network, not only risking their lives but those within surrounding homes and businesses by reducing the grid's earth safety capabilities. #securitycameras #dvr #ipsecuritycameras #homesecuritycamera #securitycameraforbusiness #securitycamerasystem #wifi #brisbanebusinesssecurity https://www.beaudeserttimes.com.au//energex-beefs-up-secu/
