03.03.2022 Are you eligible to withdraw your super early? Max withdrawal of $10k pre 30 June 2020, with another $10k available between 1 July and 24 Sept 2020. If you meet eligibility criteria. *From ATO*... To be eligible, you need to meet ONE of the following criteria: - Unemployed - Eligible to receive Job Seeker or another specified Centrelink payment/allowance. Job Keeper eligibility alone will not make you eligible to withdraw your super. After 1 Jan 2020: - You were made redundant, or - Working hours reduced by more than 20%, or - You are a Sole trader with revenue falling by more than 20% or business suspended To register you need to login to your account on my.gov.au If you get stuck you should speak to your accountant and/or call the ATO (and get ready to sit on hold for a while!). WARNING Before you make any decisions you should carefully consider all options, and the impact an early super withdrawal would have on your long term super balance (and retirement) and on any insurance within your super fund (if your balance gets too low or your super fund closes you may lose your insurance).
