21.01.2022 H O L A 2 0 2 0 So I feel like February is the beginning of the year and there are some exciting things in the works With school holidays done and back from our family vacay Im definitely firing on all cylinders! So my word this year is GROWTH I want to push my boundaries personally, professionally and in biz. Am I scared? ummm hell yeah! Am I nervous? A shout out to this special lady Julie from The Tranquil Soul Wellbeing Centre her business acumen and tenacity has definitely been something Ive looked up to since meeting her. I cant wait to surround myself with her and others like her in the coming New Year Ive got big plans for 2020!!! Sometimes its really hard to know exactly where to start, especially when you have so many balls up in the air. You start getting this overwhelmed feeling then you just say I cant be bothered, Ill come back to things later and never do. This is because we lack focus due to task overload and not prioritising. Try these few tips to help get you back on track:... Meditate, Journal or do something you LOVE Action a few quick and easy tasks first Shelve or postpone things that dont really need doing Set yourself some realistic goals. While many of us eagerly went through the process of setting goals and planning for an epic 2020 back at the end of last year or beginning of this year. As much as I dont want to add to the hype but this is a real possibility with the mass ban on events of over 500 people and the possibility of day cares and schools closing! Introducing a remote working policy (if you havent got one already) is becoming a real stress for businesses that must react in real time without disrupting operations. Here are a few things to consider:... Have the conversation NOW Culture and change begins at the top. To foster trust, management must be open and present. Promote your digital values and culture Explain in writing, why and how things are going to roll out. From there, each team or department develops their own goals and objectives. Use the right tools Use the right online tools to facilitate communication in your chosen industry. If you dont know, seek help from someone who does. Put procedures in place Systems are no good without considering all users including clients/customers. Map everything then incorporate into processes. Create outlines then delegate Easy to use task management systems will help with delegation and job tracking. Encourage your team to be resourceful Beyond systems and processes, its good to encourage initiative amongst your team to ensure productivity still remains high and work still gets completed.
