23.01.2022 Hello all! I had a few months away from this business- I had a job for a couple of months which kept me flat out, and then Winter hit and wreaked havoc on my body (mainly my hands). Now that Spring has sprung, I’m feeling up to taking a few orders. I will be moving house in a month however, so here’s the catch: I will take orders for the next 24-48 hours, which will have a completion ETA of within 4 weeks.... After this, I won’t take any new orders until I’ve settled in at my new place. I can currently offer PayPal and bank deposit. If there is enough interest or a big enough order, I can reinstate my website and offer Afterpay. 16.01.2022 Hello and a very belated Happy New Year! Yes, I seem to come and go a lot. I'm going to be honest and upfront. I love making this stuff, experimenting with new styles and colours, seeing my goods on peoples horses. But my ever ailing health meant my order times were increasing- and then the stress of trying to get them out in time was becoming overwhelming. I started burying my head in the sand towards the end, and creating items became a chore- not a healthy way to run a ...business. So once again, I took a break. Some days my hands are so bad I struggle to open my bathroom door in the mornings (damn round door knob). I am learning to adapt, but I can never predict how I will be on any given day. It's frustrating, because I want to make more items, but the deadlines of getting orders out on time.... I won't cope. So I've been having a good think- how can I make this work? I've spent the last couple of days updating my website. There is a large range of secondhand goods, as well as a few rope items I've made over the last couple of months. I've just ordered a bunch more rope, and am looking forward to getting creative and adding more items to the website. And I believe this is the best way to do it- I will be focusing on creating items in my own time and having as much of a range as possible available for immediate purchase. That way all I have to do is pop it in a satchel when an order comes in, no stress. I will still do *some* custom orders but not in the volume I once did, and will mainly be for my sponsored riders (who I will be announcing soon). As far as Afterpay goes, I was 'dobbed in' last year for having secondhand items on the website, something Afterpay doesn't allow, so it was removed as a payment option. At this stage I don't intend on reinstating it- firstly I wish to continue offering secondhand items, and secondly it will allow me to keep my prices low (they do take quite a chunk). This may change in the future, I understand it's quite a popular payment option (and one I frequently use myself). So for now, take a look at what is on offer. If you are still interested in a custom order send me a message- I've marked everything as read from the last couple of months so you will need to send another through.
