17.01.2022 After many years of research, development and lots of hard yakka, we are proud to introduce to you the first saddle built on our very own tree. The saddle is designed to fit a variety of horses, whilst keeping the rider in a forward balanced seat in balance with the horse. Made on a fibreglass covered tree with russet Wickett and Craig skirting, border stamped skirts and plate rigging with block stamping on the fenders and jockeys, this saddle finishes up at a lightweight 13kg or 28lbs. This saddle is already SOLD but we can’t wait to make one for you. We currently have a 5 month waiting list and are working as quick as possible to get our current orders out to our patiently waiting customers.

17.01.2022 All horse riders should see this! Correct mounting posture is critical for your horses back, including from a mounting block! Watch this guy, it’s all about technique, doesn’t matter if your horse is much taller than you are, we all need to be able to mount safely for us and our horses, especially in an emergency when time is critical and there’s not a mounting block or similar available.

08.01.2022 A friendly reminder to always check your tack! Make sure all the points are in good condition and aren't dry. You may not be roping a horse or a cow, but points can break just under the pressure from your cinch or girth being done up! (Happened to me (Emma) once a long time ago before knowing better!) 06.01.2022 This is the same thing we tell people when fitting our tree’s (saddle skeleton we designed). If the horses body needs work there’s no point fitting a saddle until work has been done to correct it, or we leave with that understanding and exercises / ideas/ recommendations to assist in recovery. This can include poor horse posture, lack of muscle development in critical areas for fitting purposes, hoof trimming issues as well (feet actually have more effect on overall body heal...th than people realise). There is no point in fitting a saddle meant for a healthy back to a currently crippled or deteriorating back, it will never fit well. Also, some of these issues of saddles slipping can be due to rider imbalance or poor technique (usually not known about by the rider or picked up on by instructors). This also is a common cause of soreness in the horse, if your balance is not in the right place, you will cause soreness whether your horse tells you or not.

01.01.2022 Well, a very interesting day at the Dentist today... Cass needed 16 fillings, 2 big hooks at the back of her mouth and needs to be on Bute (pain killer and anti inflammatory) fir the next week, and Amirah had a woolf tooth that was heavily decayed that needed extracting and some roots from another woolf tooth that were still in the gum... needless to say we are so incredibly grateful that we could come and see this Equine Dentist who sedates and can do a proper clean and check. Thanks Paul from Horse Vet Dentist for a fabulous job, we will be repeat customers with all our horses!
