20.01.2022 We can talk about courage and love and compassion until we sound like a greeting card store, but unless we’re willing to have an honest conversation about what gets in the way of putting these into practice in our daily lives, we will never change. Never, ever. ~ Brené Brown, From the Gifts of Imperfection What get’s in your way? Your own inner critic? Other people’s opinions? Fear of looking foolish? Keeping other people happy? Being rejected? Overwhelmed at where to star...t? Something else? Let me know what you think is your first sticking point to making the changes necessary to live a wholehearted life. Much love xx

15.01.2022 Do you care for yourself when you’re looking after others? Sometimes, when you look after other people for a living, it can be hard to remember to look after yourself too. But one of the great things about being able to coach others, is that you can apply these awesome skills to yourself as well. ... You can give yourself the radical self-care that’s needed to keep on supporting your clients, you can give yourself a little pep talk when you need to hold a boundary and you can pick yourself up and dust yourself off after a hard day at work so that you can be your whole self at home. Having the skills to listen, support and resource women to have the impact they’re truly capable of is vital if we want to change the world but it cannot be at the expense of your own energy. If you’re interested in learning about our very different approach to coaching, join Dr Joanna Martin on 6th July for Essential Skills for Coaching Women. This free 3 hour online workshop will explore: The 3 common disempowering archetypes that prevent women from being effective, and how to avoid them. The 5 Women’s PowerTypes and how they can be used in your coaching, consulting and management to bring the best out in the women you work with (and yourself) How you can become a One of Many Certified Women’s Coach and use our tools, techniques, templates and profiling tools to help women more effectively and joyfully than ever before Register here: https://bit.ly/EssentialSkillsCoachingWomenRhonda2107 (We’ll be sharing a recording for anyone who can’t make it live) Much love xx #escw #oneofmanywomen #womenscoaching #coachtraining #freeworkshop #freecoachworkshop #coachingskills #womenscoach *(A little disclaimer: I am proudly a One of many Certified Coach and Trainer and also registered as an Ambassador because their tools have made such a huge difference in my own life. I may receive a small payment if you enrol in any programs, but it’ll never cost you anything more, and there’s no pressure. And frankly - even if you never buy a thing the free stuff is so great you won’t regret registering. It’ll really change your life if you let it!)

14.01.2022 When we practice generating compassion, we can expect to experience the fear of our pain. Compassion practice is daring. It involves learning to relax and allow ourselves to move more gently toward what scares us. Pema Chödrön, from The Places That Scare You What do you think of when you hear the word compassion? Is it your first response to the pain or suffering of yourself or others?... What is the link between compassion and boundaries? Take a look and then let me know what is your relationship with wholehearted compassion. 13.01.2022 Hey there lovelies I want to do something a little different because I can and I truly believe change is our friend! Then Gifts of Imperfection is a book that has been pivotal to my own growth and development. So much so, that I am taking notice of the synchronicity of an email alerting me to the celebration of its 10th anniversary and the compulsion that I feel to share its contents with you. ... From the scores of people Brené and her team interviewed it was clear that we all struggle with shame and the fear of not being enough. But still within these stories were many, many people who were living amazing and inspiring lives. What Brené coined as living Wholehearted lives. So I invite you my lovelies to have faith in yourselves, to draw on your own inner courage and check out the Gifts of Imperfection with me as your travel companion. 07.01.2022 The map is not the territory, the word is not the thing it describes. Whenever the map is confused with the territory, a 'semantic disturbance' is set up in the organism. 05.01.2022 You can’t thrive unless you’re connected with others ~ Soft Power Principle #10, One of Many This principle is connected to our relationship with others power centre, and it has never been more important to focus on for ourselves in a world where we can find disconnect at almost every turn - from people addicted to their screens, to enforced isolation and borders closing at the drop of a hat!... Sometimes it can really feel like it’s just me up against the world and then I have a chat with my sister or my kids or a client. We exchange energies, we are either filling up or receiving and suddenly I realise my world has expanded and all my perspectives shift. I rediscover that equilibrium, the natural course of ebb and flow that eludes me if I spend too long alone. Dr Joanna Martin, Founder of One of many says I know we can all survive without others, but we can't thrive unless we really get deeply connected. We may not all have someone with us all the time, OMG I simply CAN’T do that! But, we can choose to commit to communicating in real time using our voices and connecting deeply with others for mutual benefit. Is this something that’s a bit of a struggle for you, and I’ not talking about just surrounding yourself with lots of people for company I’m talking deep connection with at least one other person. Tag or send a DM to your bestie now! As always, please be reminded this Principle is not THE truth. But I find when I act as though it were, life has more equilibrium. Much love xx

05.01.2022 Speaking honestly and openly about who we are, about what we’re feeling, and about our experiences (good and bad) is the definition of courage. ~ Brené Brown, from The Gifts of Imperfection. We read, see and hear about extraordinary acts of courage in action movies, amazing bravery in moments of crisis where the heroes are putting their lives on the line, and while these are fabulous and are to be admired and applauded. That is not the courage of wholehearted living. ... Brenè speaks of everyday courage by everyday people, more aligned to the origins of the word. Ordinary courage is about putting our vulnerability on the line. Take a look and then let me know what ordinary courage means for you. As always remember if your NOW is not the picture you have painted for yourself and you’d like to have a chat about any of this or maybe something completely different that you intuitively know or feel isn’t letting your true colours shine through, then please do get in touch with me. You can do it easily just leave a comment, send me a private message, drop me an email or choose a time for a call on my Calendly page - https://calendly.com/rhondachrimes If you enjoyed my video I’d really appreciate if you like and follow my Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/rhondachrimescoaching/ Be sure to also head over and like and subscribe to my You Tube Channel: http://bit.ly/RhondaChrimesYouTube Much love xx

05.01.2022 Everything starts with replenishing your energy ~ Soft Power Principle #1, One of Many In absolutely every aspect of our lives, we do better when we are replete. When we have enough money in our pocket we have some to share. ... When we have enough food in our cupboards we can share a meal. The same goes for our energy, when we have enough we are the calm, kind, and considerate friend, parent, we have compassion and can give to our family and friends. So this principle is about checking in with yourself, when you are tired or grumpy, when you’ve just over-reacted, when you just don’t want to get out of bed. Dr Joanna Martin, Founder of One of many says all of the time, whether it's been an argument with a partner, whether it's been a redundancy, whether it's been a broken arm, whether it's been a parenting fail, whatever it is... The first part of the solution has got to start with first, replenish your energy We may not be able to control what is being dropped into our laps, but we can control repleninshing our minds, bodies, and spirit. We can choose to actually go to bed a little earlier; to take that 3 minutes to listen to an uplifting song; to make sure we are drinking enough water. What do you need to replenish? For me the top 2 are always sleep and water. I can cope with anything if I’m rested and hydrated. How can I help you? As always, please be reminded this Principle is not THE truth. But I find when I act as though it were, life is definitely more pleasant - for everyone. Much love xx

05.01.2022 Where perfectionism exists, shame is always lurking. In fact, shame is the birthplace of perfectionism. ~ Brené Brown, from The Gifts of Imperfection Many of us believe perfectionism is about striving for achievement and growth, let me share what Brené’s research has actually shown to be true. I’ll also be speaking about a dangerous and debilitating belief system than so many of us use every day.... I loved this section of the book, Brené busts so many myths we might hold surrounding perfectionism and shows us how self-compassion is the antidote we need for this destructive way of life. As I’ve said before, when we begin to make changes there will be pushback from people around us. When that happens you will need to talk about that, it is really important to be selective with who you share your story with. So I just wanted to remind you that I created a printable A4 handout with 8 tips to help with the selection of someone safe to share your story with. If you’d like a copy to act as a ready reckoner to help you maybe to steer clear of the wrong kind of people or maybe to help you be the right kind of person for someone else click on the link 8StorySharingTips to get your free copy.

05.01.2022 Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky, but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light. ~ Brené Brown, from The Gifts of Imperfection I’m reminded of an activity I participated in at a retreat I went to.... We were asked to stand in front of a small group of 5 other women sitting silently and look each of them in the eye and say This is me, it’s who I am. We had to keep repeating it until all the other women felt what we were saying was indeed our truth and she would then stand up. We just had to keep going until all our group was standing. I remember one younger woman struggling so deeply with this, she was the last to stand for each of the rest of us and then when it came her turn, the words just wouldn’t even form. I have rarely felt so deeply moved by the turmoil of emotions she felt trying so desperately to express this seemingly simple statement. I cannot express with mere words, the collective joy of our wee small group when finally she discovered the power of her own light. Much love xx See more

It means cultivating the courage, compassion and connection to wake up in the morning and think, No matter what gets done and how much is left undone. I am enough. 03.01.2022 It’s in our biology. 03.01.2022 Hey lovelies, we have been living through the effects of the global Covid pandemic as it emerged from China in late December, finding its way into Australia in early January. But it still seemed so far away and we were OK, then by February, we were all following the dreadful numbers coming out of Italy from, and we began to realise the full impact of what may come. The beginning of March saw our premier use his social media to give us daily reports of our own numbers and th...en by mid to late March the restrictions were rolling in. That is 6 months of a sustained crisis and according to Dr Aisha Ahmad, an expert and veteran of living through sustained disasters and crisis, we can all expect to hit the wall around this time. Her full article is available on her Twitter account https://twitter.com/ProfAishaAhm/status/1309529072184197120 . With Brené Brown’s work so near to my heart right now, I thought it would be helpful to understand that regardless of how you and yours have faired during this time you are not alone. We have all endured either whether directly or indirectly through contact with this virus or through the restrictions and imposed because of it. It has effected all of us in some way physically, intellectually, financially, emotionally, and/or spiritually. What can we do to help get over this wall? Hope to see you on the inside, but if you are watching the replay still let me know what you are thinking and doing. Much love xx
