24.01.2022 With todays technology you take a photo and delete it if you dont like it. It may not be exactly what you had planned, you might not like the silly face being pulled. Maybe your partner took a photo of you with your children and you dont think its flattering. I want to encourage you not to press the delete so quickly, wait and look back at those photos in a few days, weeks or even months. What if some of those photos in the future were beautiful memories of moments for y...our child. The one your child looks back on and remembers with a smile telling you they were doing a silly smile to make you laugh. How good does that moment become? Its the in-between moments that tell a story. Sometimes the unplanned moments make the perfect story. I was looking at family photos on the weekend and it has set me thinking about how important this is x x

22.01.2022 Do you have photos sitting on a USB in a drawer or on your computer? Have you thought one day I will get these printed? A print is tangible and something to hold, wether it be a single photo, an album or wall art hanging proudly on display in your house. In our house our family photo sits on a wall right near the kitchen I look at the print and cant help but smile every time I fill my water glass. With not being able to shoot at the moment I am planning a few things in the back ground. One of these is to offer beautiful wall art, I would love to know your thoughts on this? Ive had a little play today making some mock ups to show how beautiful wall art can be. Do you love this collection as much as I do? If you were to get photos printed what would you like, prints, wall art or an album?

21.01.2022 I've added to my story with some gorgeous children I photographed last week at Bannockburn Children's services. What an amazing daycare / kinder it is. Took me back in time to when my children were little. Things have changed a little since then. I'd love to know what your favourite thing is about your Childs centre if they attend one. BCS to me felt like a home, for a large centre that is an amazing thing. Photo for attention, plus how could I not share this cutie. Checkout my story for more adorable faces. Think sunset on the beach, playing with your children splashing in the water and just generally having fun as the sun goes down, all while your moments are captured to look back on and cherish as your children grow. 18.01.2022 Mothers Day is creeping up quickly, this year it will be very different for many. Those with children in school possibly wont be receiving their "Mothers Day Stall" gift this year and there are limited shopping options for Dads with their children. And then there are those Mums like me, who wont get to see their grown children or get to visit their own Mum. so much is different in our current times. ... To try and help make it a bit easier for anyone needing a gift, Ive come up with a couple of ideas. 08.01.2022 Happy first day of Spring! Anyone else feeling excited?

08.01.2022 Hows your Sunday morning going? Ours is a little different this weekend, you may have seen my story on Instagram or Facebook yesterday (it might be there still). On Friday we fostered this guy. His name is Cyclone - he does not live up to his name in any way, ok maybe when he is playing. Having had 3 Rhodesian Ridgebacks, we absolutely love the breed. I really, really miss having a dog it is the longest I have been in my whole 52 years without a dog in my life and yes ...it is hard not to give in and get one. I contacted Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue Australia recently, they do an amazing job at rehoming dogs who can no longer live with their owners for what ever reason, I enquired about a dog and then when we really thought about it realised it wouldnt be for us to have a dog full time again, so I offered to foster if they ever needed someone. Friday came and I had a message from the lovely Christa asking if we could take Cyclone (he is a Ridgeback with a tiny bit of Bull Arab mixed in the ears give it away, plus he has no ridge) we didnt hesitate, wanting to help as this boy really needed a loving home with some TLC. The last few months have been a bit sad for him. So my long story brings me to the photo, he has settled in so well, he is a beautiful boy who has made himself very much at home. Our floors are heated which he loves, but this morning he found this little pocket of light and just laid there snoozing. I love a photo challenge, shadows and highlights often bring that challenge. For me I wonder what is going through his mind, I think he feels like he can breath again, he can trust us, he sees we will love and look after him while we are caring for him. He is a whole different boy to the one who arrived at our house Friday afternoon. For us we know this is short term, we are giving him a chance at his best life, to gain a little weight back (he is extremely thin). We know that there will be a loving home somewhere in the future that will be just perfect for him, until then he will be loved, he will be warm and nourished. I love following their page and seeing the wonderful things they do. You will see Cyclone there in the near future, or feel free to message me with any questions. By the time I finished typing he had moved outside for some fresh air and sunshine, I couldnt resist taking a few more photos of him. I just want to add, yes he is thin, he has been under a lot of stress so this is often what happens. Please no negative comments. He was very much loved by his owner who had to surrender him due to illness. He has just had a couple of tough months, but will be ok.

I'm sorry I have been a little out of the loop on social media, the end of last year once restrictions lifted it was all hands on with photographing families and a few daycare centres and kinders. I took a nice break over the Christmas period, am feeling refreshed and ready for 2021. I hope everyone has had a nice Christmas and wanted to pop on to wish you a belated Happy New Year. 03.01.2022 Oh my goodness, today was the perfect mental health fix. Ive been struggling a bit with motivation. Ive missed photographing people, flowers and statues in my house only cut it for so long. As much as I love my husband, Ive also been craving some socialisation. I may have been a little excited when my niece messaged and we organised a visit today now that restrictions have lifted a little. 01.01.2022 It feels good to be back shooting with a beach session to boot! What an absolute rockstar Sarah was today, hard to believe she is 38 weeks! Man I didnt make 38 weeks with any of our babes, but I know I didnt look as radiant as Sarah does here. We held off their maternity session due to restrictions. So happy to have the sun shining on a beautiful almost winters day.
