27.04.2022 April is Parkinson's Awareness Month so, in conjunction with Parkinson's QLD, Restoring Hope Parkinson's Therapy & The Sunshine Coast Hospital & Health Service,... Home Instead is proud to present... The Great Walk for Parkinson's 2022. The Great Walk for Parkinson's will be a collaborative initiative focused on raising funds and awareness for Parkinson’s Disease. In partnership with local government and community groups, this event was conceptualised to reduce stigma and enhance resources and education for a disease that affects over 130,000 Australians Our group of walkers is made up of specialised care services, strong advocates and people from the local Parkinson's support community who will be walking from Mapleton on 4th April to camp overnight in the bush, before finishing up at Lake Baroon Recreational Park in Montville for our Picnic for Parky’s event on Tuesday 5th April! 14.01.2022 Our last LOUD Crowd choir session for the year was on Telehealth. Telehealth came with some challenges but gave us a way to connect when geographical distance or COVID regulations meant that we were not able to meet in person. Thank you to our resilient choir for pushing through the technological challenges! We look forward to more time together and adding to our choir in the New Year!
