03.01.2022 I have always been passionate about the legalisation of voluntary assisted dying and with the statistics now available, I struggle to comprehend how anyone can think otherwise. Seven pairs of shoes were laid out at the most recent Dying With Dignity meeting in Bundaberg last week. Each pair represents the number of people with a terminal illness, who take their own life each month in Queensland - a decision made in desperation to stop chronic pain and distress. I’m very proud... of these two stories and hope they make a difference in some way. Thank you to Moya and Mark for being so brave and committed to this cause, even despite while you’re experiencing all of this.
