23.01.2022 Today’s project, my own house. At Rhys Williams Plumbing we love plumbing so much that we do it in our spare time . Made some good progress on the new roof installation which is a good thing considering there is rain on the forecast. A very happy boss that has been very patient with all the black plastic hanging around to keep the weather out. Even I answer to a higher power in this company .

23.01.2022 The new fridge magnets came up a treat. Its a ripper of an idea to have a one stop shop on your fridge for all your maintenance and management needs. Big thanks to Samantha Bower for coming up with the plan and thanks to Ross frame at power to print in Bayswater for making them up.

21.01.2022 Heres a project that was a little different but fun to do. A client up in East Warburton wanted an outdoor shower on her balcony so she could enjoy the magnificent view of her property while having a shower. She also wanted a certain style and was after something different from a standard indoor tiled shower. We came up with this idea which really suits the area. This is the first outdoor shower of its kind that I have done and really enjoyed doing it. If you ever want a shower on your deck we are only a phone call away

20.01.2022 A little video of the horror story from today. Every time it rains the water was pouring out of the drains and running down in the ground to the basement below causing the basement to fill up. If your experiencing unusual amounts of water around your home or you find sink holes starting to form, its time to get your pipes checked. Trust me, you dont want water around the foundations or stumps of your home.

19.01.2022 Came across this on the local Yarra Valley Noticeboard. We are forever grateful when our customers recommend our services. What a pleasure it is to work with people like this

15.01.2022 Out in the sun today helping out the boys from jigsaw projects by knocking up some downpipes. The jigsaw boys sure know how to build a house .

15.01.2022 Happy FATHERS DAY to all the dad’s out there. Todays your day

15.01.2022 Got a call from a client today with a little leaking problem. The kitchen drain pipe was leaking under the house. So I went for a crawl and found plenty of sewage but no sign of a broken drain. A quick inspection with the camera down the sink drain revealed that there has been some uninvited guests with a strange appetite for pvc pipe. Yep RATS . They had chewed a fair size hole in the pipe and now sewage was leaking every time the client used the sink. So if you ever have unwanted guests scurrying around in your home, make sure you get rid of them quickly before this happens to you.

14.01.2022 A nice little fit off in Milgrove to end the week. Simple and stylish and it was a pleasure to work on.

13.01.2022 MASSIVE happy birthday to our bookkeeper Sarah We hope you enjoy your special day and dont work to hard From all of us at Rhys Williams Plumbing

13.01.2022 Another day, another hot water crisis solved. The client needed a new hot water unit but wasnt too keen on putting a new unit back in the cupboard inside where it could have problems later on. With space and flue clearances a problem for a gas unit, we were able to install an electric twin element unit in the area the client wanted without any problems other than lifting a 97kg tank up over a retaining wall . Big thanks to Marky the sparky for helping us get her into place and wiring it up.

13.01.2022 Completed this aggregate drainage system just in time to get out of the rain. The client was having a bit of trouble with water getting under the house due to the property behind it. The neighbouring property is a lot higher so when it rains, the water was draining through the retaining wall and into the ground resulting in moisture under the house. Once we dug our way below the footing level we noticed water draining back out from under the house which is never a good thing. The new drainage system solves all these problems as it creates a gutter for the water to drain into and gets carted away into the storm water drains. A big win for the client.

12.01.2022 Hey everyone, its been a busy couple of weeks at the Rhys Williams plumbing camp. We have been stuck into fit off mode with 2 new bathrooms finished for 2 happy clients. Its always nice to see peoples style and projects come to life

11.01.2022 Another day of fun in the sun . This is another one of the projects nearing completion from the guys at straight forward renovations. We had to think outside the square a little with the downpipes as we needed to leave sufficient room on the posts for the blinds to be installed. We got the gutter and storm water up just in time for the weekend. It doesnt get much better than chilling in your own swim spa out on the deck with a few cold ones

10.01.2022 At Rhys Williams plumbing we dont just make the apprentices pass tools, we like to get them involved early on to build the skills up. Good to see a young bloke getting stuck into some plumbing. Good on ya Alex !, why so red ? .

10.01.2022 Sorry mate almost forgot you were under there since you were down there so long . Our apprentice Alex getting down and dirty on a water line renewal under the house. Gotta admire a young fella who gets stuck into the not so glamorous side of maintenance plumbing

09.01.2022 Another fit off completed today in Kilsyth. This one was a back to back ensuite and bathroom we started a while ago. Everything came out really nice and it was an absolute pleasure to work with these clients. They had everything planned out and took all the guess work out of the job. Here is some before and after shots of the renovation.

09.01.2022 What a motley crew this is !! . Got the A team on site today getting it done. Justin Dullard, Ryan Wood and our apprentice Alex Ramzi going old school with the shovel to install new sewer lines into the new main and getting rid of the failing septic tank. For all your sewerage needs, Rhys Williams plumbing will drain your problems away

09.01.2022 Heres a couple of little flashings we knocked up the other day to keep the rain out. I was contacted by the client who was having some trouble with water leaking through their skylight and rangehood flue every time it rains. Bit of a problem when you live in an area that cops a bit of rainfall from time to time. We decided to build a new flashing over the skylight and run it right back to the ridge line to stop any water getting in where it wasnt wanted. The rangehood flue got the same treatment. Another roof leak problem solved

09.01.2022 Heres a little job that will make a big difference to some people in need. A client of mine who is a renovation company contacted me a little while ago and asked for a hand with a little project. They were putting in a new kitchen for the guys at Riding for the disabled in Viewbank and needed the sink and hot water unit installed. After having a bit of a chat with my client he informed me that the organisation didnt have a lot of money and have had a bit of a hard run for a while. Any mob that helps out disabled kids is a good mob in my book so we decided to donate our time and materials for free. Its always good to remember that no matter how hard you have it in life there is always someone that is having a worse day than you. Sometimes we all need a little help.

07.01.2022 Heres a little bit of team work at its finest. I was called in by Andreas Xander and his team at AA handyman maintenance specialists to assist him with a new toilet room installation at a cafe on Brunswick st Fitzroy. The biggest hurdle to overcome was the fact there was no sewer lines close to the area where we had to install the toilet and hand basin. With the use of a saniflo pump, we were able to install the toilet and basin in the customers ideal location and get the w...aste safely out to the sewer system. The other important part of this installation was the help I received from Justin Dullard at trident plumbing. Justin has teamed up with us to help with the steadily growing work load and its safe to say you may be seeing his face around from time to time. How cool is the finished product, Andreas and his team really know how to make a dunny pop ! See more

07.01.2022 Heres another hot water unit installation we completed today. The old system was a gas storage unit located inside the laundry and no longer working. It was a little tricky but we were able to find a suitable location outside to install a new external unit which is a much better alternative. Another win for the team

07.01.2022 This week has shaped up to be the week of hot water service installations. This is a natural gas instantaneous hot water unit we installed today at cockatoo. Doesnt matter if its gas, electric, storage or instant, if its hot water your after weve got you covered

06.01.2022 Well that was a first for me !. Ive been in the game for awhile now but Ive never installed a polished nickel bath tub before with a fully exposed Crome bath breech with handheld diverter before. Very swarve indeed. Complimented very nicely by the herringbone tiles. The boys at straight forward renovations have put some time into this one. I really had to check my measurements a bunch of times when did the rough in to make sure the waste and water points would line up perfectly at the fit off as there is only 10mm gap either side of the top edge. Cant wait to see how the rest turns out.

05.01.2022 When life hands you lemons, make lemonade. When life hands you a blocked sewer 1m in the ground make like a ninja and jump out of the way. Alex our young ninja plumber in training learning what its like to be a maintenance plumber on a bad day

05.01.2022 When it’s PJ day for your business meeting at BNI Unity Kilsyth but you don’t wear PJ’s so you have to borrow your wifes Now the question is should Rhys get changed back into work clothes for his work day or stay in Pj’s? Cast your vote below

04.01.2022 Happy 2nd Birthday to us Its been a massive year with lots of new clients and we are very grateful for everyones support. We look forward to another great year here at Rhys Williams Plumbing

04.01.2022 Happy Saturday #loveshelpingdaddy

04.01.2022 A little win for the client today. I was contacted a little while ago from a client who was having trouble with water flooding in his basement. They had a pump and sump pit down there but the water was getting increasingly worse as time went on, not to mention the strange gurgling noises coming from under the concrete slab. After a bit of investigation we discovered that the storm water drains were leaking and all the water was running down the wall and under the concrete floor of the basement causing a flood. The worst part was the pump would kick in causing the whole nightmare to reoccur over and over again . We got to work on the problem and removed the faulty section of clay pipe and installed new 100mm pvc with an inspection tee for future maintenance. One very happy customer once we were finished today.
