25.01.2022 On this day, we remember those who sacrificed their lives so we can continue to live ours. Thank you. LEST WE FORGET

24.01.2022 With heavy hearts, we have learnt that 4 Victorian Police Officers sadly lost their lives while doing their job. Our sincerest condolences and sympathies go out to their loved ones, friends and colleagues. May they all Rest In Peace.

24.01.2022 **RELOCATION** After much deliberation and taking on board many contributing factors to reach our decision, we have decided to move the festival to the Junee Showgrounds. Entry to the festival is FREE. The only money you are going to outlay is if you buy from our stall holders or amusement rides. We are super excited and we hope you all are too. We look forward to seeing you there on the 9th May starting at 9am

24.01.2022 Our festival next year will be in memory of our late patron The Honorable Tim Fischer. It is only fitting to have a charity partner to compliment his honour. It is with much excitement and pleasure to announce that our Charity Partner for next year is WAGGA AUTISM GROUP. They are a group that support many families around the Riverina and we look forward to working with them. Please get behind this organisation as it is run on very limited funding and volunteers.

20.01.2022 Due to an extremely busy workload, Stuart Wallace has stepped down from being our Markets Co-Ordinator. On behalf of the committee,we would like to thank Stuart for all he has done with previous festivals and wish him well for the future. The markets will still go ahead for the festival next year. Applications will open very soon so keep watching this space.

20.01.2022 We are excited to announce that Market Stall applications are now OPEN. Head on over to our website or click on the link below. Any questions, please feel free to inbox us here and we will pass on your query to our Market Co-Ordinator. .https://www.rhythmnrail.com/markets/

18.01.2022 Please remember to vote for us, or keep voting for us! Zone 8. Rhythm n Rail Festival. If we’re successful, it will be put towards our PA system. We make our PA system available through the Junee Community Assets register. All the NFP groups get to benefit that way!... Thank you!

17.01.2022 The Executive Committee of the Rhythm n Rail Festival wish to make the following announcement..... The Rhythm n Rail Festival will be postponed based on Australias Chief Medical Officers advice and that of the Federal Government. This advice includes cancelling any large gatherings of over 500 people. The Rhythm n Rail Festival will be rescheduled for a date in September. This date cannot be confirmed until further advice on the COVID19 can be obtained and confirmed. We ...will keep everyone informed via our website and social media platforms. This decision was an extremely difficult one but our number 1 priority is everyones health and safety. Thank you for your understanding and support. We hope to see you there at our festival.

16.01.2022 Thank you to all who have expressed interest in wanting to be a part of our markets for the festival. When we first put it out there, we had a closing date of early February but we did not take into account the Christmas period. We are thrilled to say that we have decided to extend the application date for another few weeks. We have been inundated with food and coffee vans so we DO NOT require any more applications. For all other stall holders, there is still plenty of time to get it in. You can click on the link below or simply message us here with your email address and we will email it out to you. The committee will start going through those who have already applied and let them know by the first week of March. https://www.rhythmnrail.com/markets/

15.01.2022 Condolences and our thoughts go out to the families and fire station of the 2 firefighters who tragically lost their lives while trying to save ours.

15.01.2022 On behalf of the committee, we would like to announce that this years festival is CANCELLED. We were hoping to have it later on this year but with government regulations and uncertainty, especially in regards to events like ours, this simply is not possible. Our priority is the health and safety of our volunteers, attendees, artists etc. We thank you for your ongoing support and fingers crossed we will hopefully see you next year. Remember to stay safe.

14.01.2022 From our family to yours, we hope you have a Happy and safe New Year. To all services trying to tame these beasts, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and pray that you stay safe. All of you are true testament that not all heroes wear capes. For those communities who are affected by these monstrosities, we pray for your safety and some much needed rain. See you at the festival in May 2020.

10.01.2022 The committee attended the FRRR workshop today, lots of great ideas, fabulous community members and a wonderful opportunity to work collaboratively with the Community & Not for Profit Groups that make up our beautiful town of Junee. If youre interested, there is another workshop / consultation session this evening. Spaces are available still.

09.01.2022 As most of you are aware, we lost a much loved patron recently. The pressure was on to find someone who shared the same passion for trains as Tim. We are excited to announce Scott McGregor will be our new patron. For those who dont know about Scott, he is an Australian actor who now travels nationally and internationally doing guided train tours. Welcome aboard Scott McGregor

09.01.2022 Even though we haven't been active on this page doesn't mean the committee haven't been active behind the scenes. We are overfilled with excitement to find out that we were one of the lucky groups to successfully obtain a grant. This grant will go towards some much needed AV equipment which other organisations are able to use as well within the community. Hats off to our successful grant writing team because without you guys, we wouldn't be so lucky. Unfortunately due to the government regulations and restrictions in regards to festivals like ours, we are still unable to tentatively look at dates yet but hopefully within the next few weeks we can progress. Until then, please continue to stay safe and healthy.

07.01.2022 Please remember to vote for us, or keep voting for us! Zone 8. Rhythm n Rail Festival. If were successful, it will be put towards our PA system. We make our PA system available through the Junee Community Assets register. All the NFP groups get to benefit that way!... Thank you!

07.01.2022 Feeling dehydrated from the heat? Why not come on down to the Loco Hotel for a refreshing cocktail or 2 and listen to the amazing tunes from Dj Hindz. Look forward to seeing you down there.

06.01.2022 Batten down the hatches....we are so super excited to announce that ACE AVENUE will be headlining our festival this year. He has performed at our festival a few years ago. Ace has sung with quite a few big names as well as making appearances on Australias Got Talent and The Voice. Below is a snippet to whet your appetite. He can also be found right here on FB. We cant wait to hear him perform for us. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcMe7brsqXg

04.01.2022 Having been away, I have only just learnt and am deeply saddened to hear of our former Presidents husband passing away. Terry and Jeanne Kennedy played an instrumental role in keeping the festival going for a long time and even though they both took a step back, they were still involved in the background. On behalf of the committee, we wish to convey our sincerest and deepest condolences to Jeanne, their extended families, cherished loved ones and friends. (Leasa - Pres)

02.01.2022 Had the privilege to attend the launch of the Canola Trail Visitors Guide in Coolamon last Friday night. This publication showcases 3 Shires....Temora, Coolamon and Junee. Extremely excited to be one of many who took this opportunity to be a part of this fantastic guide. Like Molly Meldrum says...."Do yourself a favour and grab a copy".
