23.01.2022 LiL Update Dear LIL Playgroup parents and carers, I hope this finds you well. I have been thinking of you all lots. The Department of Education is committed to supporting all parents and children in this difficult time and have included a Birth-4 section in their Learning at home website. https://www.education.tas.gov.au/learning-at-home/ Its definitely worth a visit. You might also find the 5 8 section useful, especially if your child is already 4. Pinterest is another go...od source of ideas for home learning. For example, Google sensory ideas for toddlers and you will see masses! There are lots of excellent fine motor activities too. As a general guide, keep doing what you are already doing lots of playing, outside when possible and lots of talking, cuddling and reading. Youtube has lots of clips of stories, some read by the author, for example Aaron Blabey, if you need a short break from reading! My email is: [email protected]. Some possible planting suggestions are Erigeron, also known as Seaside Daisy, and Catmint 6 Hills Giant. They are both drought tolerant. You might also like to look at salvias, for example Pineapple Sage which is bird attracting, and drought tolerant once established. 23.01.2022 Hello and I hope this finds you well. In case you hadnt heard, there will be no Launching into Learning play group during Term 2. Cant wait to see you all again when we can I will let you know as soon as I hear when we can restart. Meanwhile, please keep reading picture books, talking, singing nursery rhymes, cooking, going for walks etc . All the lovely things you normally do! The ABC has lots of quality childrens programs that you might like to dip into, perhaps for s...ome music/singing, stories and craft. During this week I will get some tutoring on how to load an online playgroup on to Facebook from my 20 year old daughter. You may hear her groans of AHH MUM all the way from Devonport as I am such a tech dinosaur. For the playgroup, I will read a story and sing some action songs and nursery rhymes. The session will be approximately ten minutes no obligation to watch, but an option if you would like to. Please contact me if I can be of any help, or just or a chat. 22.01.2022 Information for Launching into Learning (Playgroup) I hope this finds you and your families well. I would like to advise that today, March 26, will be our last day of LIL Playgroup for the moment as advice from Public Health officials is that it is not safe for parents and carers to come into schools. The Department of Education has prepared a site to support parents and carers with learning at home. I have visited the Birth 4 section and there are lots of great ideas for learning activities. Please check our Riana Primary LIL Facebook page for more ideas about learning at home. 22.01.2022 Launch Into Learning Play Group! Play Group recommences tomorrow Thursday 23 July, 10.00am - 12.00pm. All parents will be required to complete a Visitor Screening Form due to Covid 19 regulations. Everyone Welcome!

21.01.2022 Thank you everyone for a fun time today. It was lovely to see old faces back and how much everyone had grown, not just in height but talking, walking and social skills. It is also wonderful to welcome some new children. Congratulations to Reubens family on the safe arrival of Emmy! Thank you also for filling in the Covid 19 Health Check form we will need to do this each week for the time being. Hand sanitiser will be near the sliding doors. Thank you to those who have returned their enrolment forms, and if I neglected to give you one today, please take one next week. 14.01.2022 Dear everyone , thanks for a great time at lil play group today except I forgot to put up the suggestion board. I will try to remember next week. Swimming is definitely possible. 14.01.2022 Hi everyone, Noah, Leonie and me checked out the Burnie Child and Family Centre today and it was great. Wonderful inside and out, with the nicest sand I have ever seen. Also really easy to find: only 2 turns off the highway We can go again next year and I will post some photos so you know whats there - and a map too. Sorry, should have done that for you this time. Definitely worth the drive , and Noah recommends it. Hope you can come swimming next week. Come to the Kinder /Playgroup room at 10, or if you prefer, come straight to the pool (underneath Early Learning) at 10.30. Hope you all have a lovely week, best wishes from Faith

11.01.2022 Dear everyone, I am looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. Just to let you know, we will have a 2 week break after tomorrow. Our next play group (after tomorrow) will be Thursday 25th of July. And an exciting Save The Date!!!!! Music Therapist Alex Morse will visit us Thursday 8th August. She is brilliant and really fun so I hope you can come Other good news is that we will be able to have a couple of water play sessions in Term 4. The weather should be nicer then too. 05.01.2022 Dear everyone, I hope this finds you well. Rock Pool and Beach Day Johnsons Beach Penguin, 27th August. I planned to meet at Johnsons Beach this Thursday for rock pool exploring and sandcastle building. However Rain is forecast for Thursday, the only day this week as luck would have it! Lets still plan to meet at the beach as forecasts do change. But please everyone could you check the LIL Facebook page on Thursday morning around 9am for the latest update. 05.01.2022 Dear everyone. I am looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. Just to let you know, we have a 2 week break for the school holidays. The next LIL play group (after tomorrow) will be Thursday 25th July. Some exciting news is that music therapist Alex Morse is visiting us on Thursday 8th August. Alex is really fun and I hope you can all come. Normal time and place. More good news is that we will be able to have a water play session in term 4 and maybe 2 sessions. 02.01.2022 Johnsons Beach Dear everyone, About meeting at Johnsons Beach! The latest forecast is that the rain will hold off till around 3 pm, and there shouldnt be any wind till around 12 pm. So lets chance the beach! I will have some buckets, spades and a tarpaulin to sit on and some towels. Please bring your own sand equipment and something to sit on if you wish.
