25.01.2022 Box Hill Ladies Golf Club members have come to the rescue of the Thy family. Living in the rural areas of Siem Reap their simple home was destroyed in a storm recently. They are currently living in this shelter. Life and Hope Association will arrange the building of a new home for this family before the wet season sets in. More photos will be shared soon.

25.01.2022 The idea for our Sustainable Community Project was formed with Life and Hope Association and the pioneers for this charity, Rice For Cambodia, in 2004. We are proud to report that the families going through this program receive so much more than a monthly food parcel. While being mentored/ monitored by our partner Life and Hope Association, we have been working in the background to fund significant changes to the living conditions of these families. Housing, employment, education, health, provision of water, installing toilets, and so much more. The sponsors of this program have a great deal to be proud of today and into the future.

25.01.2022 All of the new mums at Peak Sneng Health Centre appreciate receiving a parcel of goodies from Rice For Cambodia. We can’t wait until we are allowed to visit and... add all of the home made outfits that you have donated. And the patients and their families can’t wait until the kitchen is complete, shouldn’t be long now. See more

25.01.2022 Golf may have been banned during lockdown but it didn’t stop the Box Hill Golf Club Ladies Committee from raising money and creating smiles. Part of their incredible donation was delivered today to 30 happy students at Sandan Primary School. A new uniform gives a boost to self esteem for these children. Well done ladies!!

25.01.2022 Rice For Cambodia 50/50 Club members - see what you have achieved now! You have purchased 20 more New Mums Kits for young families attending Peak Sneng Health Centre to give birth to their babies. The kit is so attractive to the families it is often the reason they have their baby delivered in the safe environment of the Health Centre instead of the village. That is what we call an achievement!! Watch the 1 minute video below to view this great outcome.... https://youtu.be/73G0qoUJ00o

21.01.2022 Sweet success stories from some of our families. All it takes is mentoring/training by the fabulous Shinta Mani Foundation staff, a small investment by our generous sponsors and less than 2 months later these families have fresh vegetables to feed their children and chickens getting large enough to sell very soon, creating a small income. How good is that!!

Thanks to Life and Hope Association the much needed monthly food parcels were delivered to their homes.

18.01.2022 Wow! Another 2 vegetable gardens finished with the invaluable support of our on the ground partner, Shinta Mani Foundation. These parents will now be able to provide fresh vegetables for their children and work towards being able to sell some. RFC provided the funds for one of these families to start growing chickens over a year ago, and you can see they are growing them very successfully.

17.01.2022 Meet Sokheng. An 11 year old Grade 6 student at Sandan Primary School. Sokheng is part of our REACH program which aims to keep students at school and working towards breaking the cycle of poverty. Sokheng lives in Chobsoam Village, with her parents and 3 siblings. Her parents work for farmers and they have been classified by the Government as Level 1 poverty. Dad, Som Hach is disabled. Mum, Kuy Preng is very grateful for the support Sokheng is earning from our REACH program through attending school. This support includes not only food for the family, also school uniforms, shoes, study materials, and a bicycle. Sokheng dreams of being able to attend school right through to Year 12. Rice For Cambodia wishes Sokheng every success and we will be there to support her through her school years.
