25.01.2022 Last night the results for Gateway ward and the other two wards of Port Phillip were determined by an algorithm in a computer, such is the complexity of the new electoral system we have for Council. Warmest congratulations go to Bernadene Voss, Marcus Pearl and Ogy Simic who have been elected by Gateway ward to represent all of the residents of Port Phillip over the next 4 years. The photo is of the 5 major candidates in Gateway ward. It was a close run race. It was all of... engaging, enjoyable, friendly and yes exhausting. I would like to thank the other candidates for an honourable battle. I wish the successful candidates all the very best in their endeavours to make Port Phillip an even better place to live. I would like to sincerely thank my campaign supporters. You were tremendous in so many respects supportive, practical, hard-working, clever, team players to name a few. Thank you so much. Finally, I would like to thank the residents of Gateway ward. I met and talked with so many of you in our shopping precincts, in our neighbourhoods and at the door. Thank you for your time, feedback and support. Like you, I love this city and your engagement with, and interest in, our city bodes well for its future. Please get behind the successful candidates and support them as I learned more during the campaign as to how the tasks of Councillors can be onerous as well as rewarding. I look forward to continuing to serve the community in our city in multitudinous ways into the future.

21.01.2022 Please Vote 1 for me - an Independent to be a true Local Voice for you and Gateway ward in Council. Local Government must be about basic Service Delivery to the resident, not Party Politics. Don’t let Port Phillip Council fall into the hands of the political parties this Election. In Gateway ward I offer myself as a true Independent (I am not a member of a political party) to serve you and only you in Council. With political party members, Council will become subject to political gamesmanship. Two of the major political party candidates do not even live in Gateway ward.

17.01.2022 Freeze your rates and cut Council waste. This is my commitment to you if you elect me today. It can be achieved quite simply. By cutting Council waste, the costs of the Council can be brought under control and then there is no need to increase rates. After a 33% increase in rates across the City over 5 years (3.5 times the rise in the cost of living) there is a desperate need to freeze rates. I am the only candidate in all of Port Phillip who is making this clear and uneq...uivocal commitment to you. If you look at the material of other candidates, I would submit it is mostly just general statements and waffle. I have a unique set of skills to deliver on these commitments derived from 45 years of community service and my professional life. I have recently retired and have the time available to dedicate to serving you. Please Vote 1 for me today, Election Day

10.01.2022 Don't forget to vote this Saturday, 22 October. I suspect many of us would prefer to participating in Ports Paw Parade down Bay street 11am - 1pm this Saturday. Well you can do both - Port Phillip Council polling booths stay open from 8am - 6pm !! Please Vote 1 for me in Gateway Ward - My commitment to you is to Freeze Rates and stop Council waste.

03.01.2022 A chance to have your say on the future of Albert Park at either drop in sessions or at workshops. If the State Government wishes to retain the Grand Prix in Victoria then it should build a modern state-of-the-art race track and associated facilities in a dedicated location. The GP facilities at Albert Park look second rate compared to other global facilities and the options for the enhancement of the Park will remain stunted whilst the Park needs to largely remain the same to be able to accommodate the GP for two months each year. http://www.albertparkmasterplan.com.au/
