25.01.2022 Just one of my highly detailed paintings that will be for sale at the Pambula Show.
21.01.2022 Another art work that need to be repaired. This 1888 watercolour was damaged by silverfish. Artworks on paper, ideally, should be framed under glass. See your local professional picture framer if you have any questions.
20.01.2022 This watercolour painting, on cardboard, needed a good clean and then needed a lot of paint retouching.
18.01.2022 On this restoration, the flaking paint needed to be glued down individually and the flaked off paint needed repainting.
13.01.2022 Because paintings deteriorate slowly, they are not so obvious to the owner. Usually a visitor is the first to notice. It is important to dust, or carefully clean, oil and acrylic paintings regularly. Other mediums, such as watercolours, need more specialised cleaning. Your local professional picture framers can help you with advice. The stains on the painting below needed careful attention and was restored to it's original state. 12.01.2022 This acrylic painting had a tear on the side that needed repairing. The restoration was done to an 'invisible' mending, where even close-up, the damage can't be seen. Some Client's may only want a 'touch-up' mending, where the damage is only less obvious, or just a good clean. Either way, restoration can be done to suit your budget. (click to see the full image)
