24.01.2022 It's been a while since I've blogged. Like, a long while. I photographed around 35 weddings this year, again, from all around Australia. I had some months where I disappeared to process and process and process. I've had my ups and downs, with my work flow. And today, I've finally felt that urge to blog again. And I'm pretty excited about sharing this one. Nick and Zoey's Brisbane wedding. A wedding, just around the corner from my own home.... Tomorrow, I leave for Sydney. So I'll leave this here, in my absence (again, sorry). http://www.richardgrainger.com.au//brisbane-river-home-we/

23.01.2022 On October 3rd, 2009, I married Yen. On October 3rd, 2019, I photographed Frank and Rachael's wedding. So Frank and Rach sent Yennie a beautiful message and tried to stop by our home to give her some flowers.... But I had left for Port Douglas the very next day. I wasn't able to see them again, but Frank and Rach, thank you for being two very thoughtful souls and doing that for us. And hey, a photo of me with Frank and Rach - a photo we sent Yennie that night.

18.01.2022 When I first photographed a Bahai wedding around 4 years ago, I never thought I'd do another one again. Today, I have around 10 under my belt, of around 5 different cultures, from all around Australia. These guys, they have become family to me. Olinga and Marziah

18.01.2022 While I was looking through my website, thinking about a few updates I could make, I ended up having another scroll through the short spread of weddings I photographed last year. It makes me appreciate how grateful I am to meet and grow, purely because of the people I meet through my work. The photos I shared aren't all of just couples, but the people they surround themselves with and the places that mean something to them. Many of those things reached out to me and it's why ...I'm hoping this post just might reach a few more people (the link below). http://www.richardgrainger.com.au//personal-my-weddings-o/ This picture was taken in a little country town, a 10 hour drive north of Brisbane, called Springsure. This is Ali and Ray.

14.01.2022 The weddings I got to photograph in 2019, the places I got the visit and the people who I got to meet. All in a handful of images. http://www.richardgrainger.com.au//personal-my-weddings-o/

14.01.2022 These are the moments that I love. It was rare to see these two, without one of their children in their arms. Always there, always hugging them, always watching them. When your kids run up to you while you are getting married, don't ignore them or send them away. Instead, hug them. Be with them, too.... Scott and Maree, up in Port Douglas.
