25.01.2022 Today following expert health advice, we've announced that from 1 December, our border restrictions with Victoria will be removed. Victoria has faced many challenges over the past few months, but has now managed to get on top of the virus. I acknowledge how difficult this period has been for many people particularly those who have been separated from their loved ones.... The reopening of the border will see families reunited and it will help stimulate our economy, boost tourism and create jobs. Finally, the return of standing hospitality is imminent with SA Health working extremely hard to have a government contact tracing check-in system up and running. Certain businesses will need to use the new system. This includes pubs, clubs, restaurants, cafes and other licensed venues. Once it's available and businesses have implemented it, standing hospitality will be allowed to resume immediately. Another update regarding changes to other restrictions that remain in place is expected after the Transition Committee meets next Tuesday 17 November. I'd like to thank all South Australians for the sacrifices you have made in this unprecedented year.

But from the moment this pandemic started, we have taken the advice of our health experts to keep the people of South Australia safe and strong. ... I wish everyone reuniting with loved ones a safe and happy reunion.
12.01.2022 A few updates from today's Transition Committee meeting: From midnight tonight, cross-border community members will no longer be required to undertake a weekly COVID-19 test. We anticipate that in about two weeks people will be able to stand at a bar and enjoy a drink or food, with digital check-in systems being rolled out across the hospitality sector to help with contact tracing. Victoria is doing a good job and we are on track to open our border before Christmas, wi...th a condition that people self isolate for 14 days. We encourage Year 12 school leavers to celebrate at home this year in a COVID Safe way. A limit of 50 people per household still applies and it is important you know who has attended the party you host. See more

11.01.2022 LIVE: Local COVID-19 update.
09.01.2022 We know the past few weeks have been challenging for many South Australians. From day one, we have been clear that we do not want any restrictions in place for a day longer than they need to be. So I’m pleased to confirm that on Tuesday, December 1, restrictions in South Australia will be easing.... These changes will only be in place for two weeks as we chart our course towards Christmas. The South Australian border restrictions with Victoria will be lifted completely from Tuesday, December 1. We know this will be a huge relief to many families, business and communities as we head into the holiday season. But we continue to stress this point: we can and we must continue to act on the unequivocal health advice to keep SA safe and strong. I am so proud that we have worked together to beat this silent enemy, and to get through this united.
07.01.2022 The Marshall Liberal Government is fixing crucial intersections and creating jobs. Tenders have been released for the Chain of Ponds junction of North East Road and South Para Road. The upgrade to this intersection will see a free flow/deceleration lane for traffic turning left and a sheltered right-turn lane.... This forms part of the Marshall Government’s massive $12.9 billion infrastructure spend, the biggest in SA’s history.

06.01.2022 It takes less than a minute to check-in, but has the potential to save our contact tracers hours and hours of work in the event of a cluster or outbreak. The COVID SAfe Check-in system is part of the new 'normal' for now. Let me run through a few important details that you should know:... Download the free mySA GOV app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. If you already have the app, update it to access the COVID SAfe Check-in feature. The COVID SAfe Check-In feature will allow you to scan a business’s QR code. The app securely collects limited personal information as you enter a business or venue. Your details will only be kept for 28 days. Data will only be released to SA Health for official contact tracing purposes. More info: www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/business-and-work/covid-safe-check-in Let's keep working together to keep SA safe and strong.
