25.01.2022 Over the last two decades I have been creating portraits of every wine grape variety I can find. While pacing up and down countless rows of vines looking for the perfect bunch of grapes I started to notice how beautiful the growing stages of each grape variety was. The tendrils reaching out, the frail new leaves framed by the vibrant maturing leaves. The tiny, delicate bud burst. Because these gorgeous images are so transient I decided to document all these stages. And like t...he grapes, the growing stages for each wine grape variety are different, so I have now brought all the key steps together in one fine art print, starting off with Shiraz. I have added these elegant images to my limited edition print collection which you can find in my Etsy shop. www.etsy.com/au/shop/PhotosByHumphrys #richardhumphrys #richardhumphrysphotography #photographer #photo #art #instagram #southaustralia #australia #ichoosesa #brandsa #aussiewine #wineaustralia #sawine #australianwine #winelovers #winelover #instawine #wine #sommelier #finewine #etsy #etsyshop #etsystore #gicleeprint #print #giclee #giftideas #gift #photoftheday #nofilter @instagram #shiraz #syrah

24.01.2022 This Flash Back Friday image was taken in 2014 using Fuji Velvia, 6x7cm film on my faithful Mamiya RZ67. The combination of medium format film and the suburb fine grain of Velvia gives this image stunning depth. For over a decade I tried to get to this stunning Eden Valley Riesling vineyard at the perfect time to capture the vines in full blown Autumn colour. It was worth the fight. I knew the image was there. I just had to get the timing right. To get the best angle I was p...erched on the top of my four metre high platform ladder. This image will be included in my collection of limited edition Australian vineyard prints that I will add to my Etsy shop soon. www.etsy.com/au/shop/PhotosByHumphrys #richardhumphrys #richardhumphrysphotography #art #instagram #southaustralia #australia #ichoosesa #brandsa #aussiewine #wineaustralia #sawine #australianwine #winelovers #winelover #instawine #wine #sommelier #finewine #etsy #etsyshop #etsystore #giftideas #gift #photoftheday #nofilter #print @instagram #fbf #flashbackfriday #riesling

22.01.2022 This Flash Back Friday image was taken in 2005 using Fuji Velvia, 6x7cm film on my faithful Mamiya RZ67. The combination of medium format film and the suburb fine grain of Velvia gives this image stunning depth and superb detail. I took this image in the Flinders Ranges on the stunning Merna Mora Sattion which stretches from the western walls of Wilpena Pound to the eastern shores of Lake Torrens. These timbers are all that’s left of a structure that was built in the early 1...920’s by station jackeroos for shelter while they were rounding up cattle. This image will be included in my collection of limited edition Australian Landscape prints that I will add to my Etsy shop soon. www.etsy.com/au/shop/PhotosByHumphrys #richardhumphrys #richardhumphrysphotography #art #instagram #southaustralia #australia #ichoosesa #brandsa #etsy #etsyshop #etsystore #giftideas #gift #photoftheday #nofilter #print @instagram #fbf #flashbackfriday #flindersranges #landscape #landscapephotography

19.01.2022 This limited edition signed print is from my ‘Old Winery’ poster collection which is now for sale in my Etsy shop. The photograph was shot in 1994 for the 3rd edition of the Penfolds Wines ‘Rewards of Patience’ book and then I printed it using the very difficult Polaroid Transfer technique. This 2,400 litre, 80 year old oak vat was once used to store and mature the fortified wines that Penfolds was so famous for in the early 1900’s. Some were also used to mature Penfolds del...icious St Henri Shiraz. Sadly many of these vats have been broken up due to white ant attack. www.etsy.com/au/shop/PhotosByHumphrys #richardhumphrys #richardhumphrysphotography #photographer #southaustralia #australia #ichoosesa #aussiewine #wineaustralia #southaustralianwine #sawine #australianwine #winelovers #winelover #instawine #wine #sommelier #finewine #etsy #etsyshop #etsystore #giftideas #gift #nofilter #penfolds #sthenrishiraz #polaroidtransfer @instagram See more
