19.01.2022 Tweed Richmond Clarence Chapter Outdoor Event The Tweed Richmond Clarence Chapter recently visited Flo Gardens a local Ecological Swimming Pool & Pond constru...ction company located in Byron Bay Shire. Flo Gardens specialise in designed & installing Natural water Swimming Pools & Ponds which are pumped & filtered through an Aquaponics system which can support edible vegetation & fish! The Aquaponics system is as simple as a skimmer filter & pump continually pumping the water though a biological (waterfall, natural healthy bacteria, fish, plants) filtration system. Water is constantly flowing/ being pumped through the system so that it is continually passing through the filtration system and over the falls - cleaning and aerating the water. ‘Moving water’ benefits include: no mosquitoes, clean & clear water, so clear you can swim in it! The Chapter members & guests started with afternoon tea at the Flo Gardens factory where one of the owners of Flo Gardens Adam Grabowski provided an in-depth presentation on how the system is designed, installed & maintained & then we all headed out to a site visit to inspect a working operational Flo Gardens swimming pool.
