We cannot ignore the pleas of veteran families for a Royal Commission into this terrible scourge the pleas of mothers like Julie-Ann Finney whose sons have tragically taken their own lives. ... Labor has listened to those families who have tragically been impacted by this and we have listened to Julie-Ann Finney and we owe it to her and those families to get this right. One suicide is too many. Families and mothers like Julie-Ann who spoke at today’s press conference with raw passion and righteous strength they want a Royal Commission because it will get to the bottom of this. We owe it to them.

Out-of-control bushfires in Northmead, Kenthurst and near Springwood in NSW - I still cant quite believe that Scott Morrison's government have said they wont be supporting a Australian aerial fire fighting fleet when we see footage like this - Either crazy, short sighted or negligent.
