24.01.2022 It's spring, which means the second annual High Country Writers Festival is happening and I get to share my silversmithing workspace with wordsmiths. That means forging 'quietly' during author talks, but it also means I get to sit in the box seat while some amazing books are discussed at The Makers Shed. Check out the full program, with free sessions taking place across Glen Innes Highlands. Bookings are essential via: https://highcountrywritersfestival.com/
22.01.2022 So excited for this exhibition
21.01.2022 Here’s what came out of the most recent one-day silver workshop... Always an eclectic selection of pieces, this time a few students wanted to explore chemical patinas and one brought some fave seashells to make wearable.
20.01.2022 Thank you to those who put us forward for a nomination in the inaugural business awards here in Glen Innes! We’re very grateful and humbled to be recognised in this way and are so happy to be a part of this wonderful community. And congratulations to all the the other businesses that were highlighted! Thanks also to Glen Innes Highlands for all of your support... appreciated.
19.01.2022 A fresh batch of tumbled beach stones set in sterling and fine silver rings and pendants are done. I never tire of these unique and beautiful shapes.
16.01.2022 Great to see my trophy delivered to its winner today! Thanks for taking it to Leigh, Mary! Congratulations on your win, Leigh... great things happen at The Makers Shed book club. Get into it!
15.01.2022 Anyone who’s followed my work for a while will know that the things that go forth from my bench are varied and diverse... so you won’t be surprised by this It’s a raven’s skull set on a sterling backing, patinated. Can be worn as a brooch or a pendant, and is 9cm in length. $195(including p&h).
15.01.2022 We’re hanging a new exhibition next month incorporating three fabulous artists. This beaut little work is one I’ll be very happy to have the company of Come along to view them in person, or check them out online if you’re not nearby.
15.01.2022 Having never made a pot before... this came out today It’s only 2.3 cm high (so tiny) and I was wondering what the hell it could be used for... then a friend came into the studio and suggested a tooth fairy vessel! Perfect.
12.01.2022 Spooky face time This brooch is constructed with pure silver shaped from beneath using the technique repoussé and back-filled with resin to give it strength and rigidity. It’s then set in a pure silver bezel and a sterling back. It’s a one-off. 3cm in length and $140 (plus p&h if needed).
10.01.2022 Hot off the bench today... this is a stunning cognac zircon (a completely natural stone from Queensland). The mark of a good stone is the way the light seems to shine from within! This gem certainly throws out beautiful light and colour. Set in sterling and fine silver, it’s size T (20mm inside diameter) and is $170 including p&h.

03.01.2022 I’m sure you’re all aware that I like to repurpose, well... EVERYTHING... so this won’t come as a surprise! My beautiful friend, Max, came to the shed with a wooden box containing these gorgeous tiles making up a vintage matching game They’re so fabulous as they are that I’m loathe to gild the lily and have adapted them as brooches exactly as they are, but am thinking of setting some in silver too These are available now for $25 each (plus p&h) and measure 6x4 cm.
