25.01.2022 As more and more PV systems are connected, the risk is that grid voltage climbs too high. When this happens instead of a nice smooth solar PV curve systems wil...l "clip" this means they temporarily shut down and results in a zig-zag graph. This type of behaviour has nothing to do with your solar system and everything to do with the voltage levels in the network. To address this issue, the Queensland government are going to drop the grid voltage by 10v to 230v. Below is a link to the FAQ and the transition period. Watch this space :)

If you do the numbers, that's a return on investment of 18% the taxman can't touch. Even if you had the money tucked away in your mortgage you'll only saw yourself 4%. 07.01.2022 This customer recently came to us wanting to ensure that they never got a power bill again and were able to protect themselves from blackouts. After changing ...their hot water system to an Apricus and adding a 6.5kw PV system with a Tesla Powerwall 2 mission accomplished. The only reason they're still connected to the grid is so they can get paid for the power they will export above and beyond their usage. In the past week not only did they meet all their power demands, but they will have sold $14 worth of power to the grid. This means they have plenty of surplus capacity come summer when they need their A/C. In addition to this, their property value has no doubt gone up significantly by adding this system to their home.
