18.01.2022 HOLROYD COMMUNITY AID - FUNDING CUT COMPLETELY Peter Karvon, Principal of R&W Merrylands said The Federal government should not fund its mismanagement by cutting essential charitable institutions such as this. "Good Morning, Our Last Night Local Charity, Holroyd Community Aid, who has been assisting individuals and families in Holroyd with emergency financial relief for over 48 years, has had their funding cut completely and will have to close its doors by the end of Fe...bruary 2015, if we can't find funds elsewhere to be able to fund this extremely important organisation for our Community. Holroyd Community Aid has assisted Holroyd residents with emergency relief in the form of food and medical vouchers and assistance with utilities and it solely relies on federal government funding to be able to assist our residents. Holroyd community aid is managed by a Committee of Volunteers and its daily operations are also run by volunteers, therefore all the funding that was received was for emergency relief to our residents. I am asking the Business Community to see what we can do to assist this local charity to remain open and continue helping those in desperate need, as it is the only one in Holroyd providing this type of assistance to our local Community.
